Whether you’re suffering from a concrete loss, such as the loss of a pet or loved one, or from an abstract loss, such as the loss of your faith or health, each loss has one thing in common; it must be grieved.  I began writing this episode after I finished my series on the loss of my dog, Shelby, when I first launched my podcast. I have survived many losses throughout the course of my life. I had to learn not only the value in grieving, but also the benefits of doing the work to find the other side of grief. To find empathy for myself, an understanding of my losses, and sometimes forgiveness for my victimizers. We don’t typically lean into grief, it’s something we’re told to hide and move through, quickly. Grief and healing have their own timelines. We can do things to help the process, but we’re not usually shown or taught what those things are.  Listen as I explore the lessons I’ve learned and the perspectives I’ve gained from embracing grief and grieving, letting go, and moving forward through life. There can be relief – and even joy – after sorrow. https://lnkd.in/eSzBNheA
