Eastrail (Eastrail Partners) may be the Eastside’s most ambitious project yet. The projected 42-mile corridor will boast an uninterrupted stretch of trail and connecting the communities of Renton, Bellevue, Kirkland, Woodinville, Redmond, and Snohomish. Since BDA's last coverage of Eastrail in 2021, here's whats happened so far: - The project has received over $43 million in public and private sector funding with support coming from all corners of Washington. - Kirkland’s Totem Lake Connector bridge opened in summer of 2023 and Bellevue’s Northup Connector opened in winter of 2023. - Recently, the historic Wilburton Trestle broke ground as the development for a 1,000-foot-long trail bridge began. Celebrate these milestones and the opening of NE 8th St Overcrossing at the new Wlburton 2 Line station with King County Parks on June 23! The event will feature an unveiling of new art installations honoring the historical connection of the Japanese-American community to the region By 2026, the Eastside can expect the unveiling of this beautiful and functional crossing with views of downtown Bellevue and the Olympic mountains. The City of Ozark continues to be a highly desirable market for developers, both residential and commercial, because of the many wonderful attributes our community has to offer. As new growth occurs the impact that growth has on our infrastructure system, specifically transportation, creates significant demands for increased capacity. As a river community, bridges are a critical component to the transportation system as well as managing the flood waters that can cause road closures, increase safety risks, and cause property damage. Knowing growth and economic development is intricately tied to transportation improvements, in 2019 Governor Mike Parsons created the Governor’s Transportation Cost Share Program, specifically focused on funding local transportation improvements that would advance economic development projects in Missouri while also improving capacity and safety. #McCrackenRoadProject #PondBridge #FinleyRiver #Ozarknews #ky3news #KOLR10News #ozarksfoxam #KOLR10 #KOLR #ozarks #ozarkmo #kspr #ozarknewsletter #ksprtv #ky3tv #finleyfarms #ozarkmill #thegarrison #FinleyFarm #johnnymorris #ChateauPensmore #Pensmore #PensmoreMansion #abcycle #abcyclecares #webelieveinbikes #solarpoweredbikeshop #springfieldsbikeshop

CRE research professional and head of a national commercial real estate research platform for Newmark in Canada providing thought leadership, operational excellence, team building and market insights
Chances are that if the SkyTrain's Evergreen Line expansion through Port Moody to Coquitlam never opened in 2016 Wesgroup Properties' Inlet District master plan would never have been proposed, reported Real Estate News Exchange (RENX). "I think the answer is likely no," Dean Johnson, vice-president, development with Wesgroup, told RENX recently, when pondering that alternate reality. "In the long term, there is a lot of economic and historical data around the benefits of transit-oriented development, not just in the Lower Mainland, but internationally." "In January, Wesgroup announced it had submitted a development permit application to the City of Port Moody for the first phase of Inlet District.” “It's a development trend that has been gaining momentum across Lower Mainland cities with towering, master-planned communities being proposed and built in and around SkyTrain Stations. It's happening in Metrotown, Brentwood and Lougheed in Burnaby; Burquitlam in Coquitlam; in Surrey City Centre; and at Oakridge and Marine Gateway in Vancouver, among other locations." https://lnkd.in/gemTMMAz #portmoody #development #masterplanned

Our team had a fun and inspiring tour of the construction site at Portland International Airport earlier this week. This project is one of many reasons to feel hopeful about our future in the region. It's a model for the kind of leadership we should be looking for in our city: A commitment to workers and local businesses, savvy public-private partnerships to reach toward inspiring visions for our region, care and connection with tribes, natural resources, and the beauty of our place on earth, and an ability to respond to large magnitude challenges with a resilient and adaptive mindset. I loved learning about the 950+ jobs at the construction site (25% contracted with small and minority or women owned businesses), and the extra care the Port is taking to protect workers’ physical and mental health. A public-private partnership between the Port and airlines is funding the full project — this is a model for how committed corporate investment in our region benefits all of us, and how to use the different financing tools that governments and corporations can bring to the table. The building itself is breathtakingly beautiful. Our tour guide was able to name each tribe that provided specific sections of wood. So much care had gone into partnering with foresters to harvest and place the wood. ZGF designed the building to withstand a 9.0 earthquake by allowing every part of the structure to sway up to 12º. That made me think about resilience, and the politics of our city right now. Some have become rigid — and brittle — as we face hardships together. The leaders I admire most have turned the other direction, toward sway, toward openness, collaboration … and resilience. Thanks Port of Portland leaders for showing how it's done!

The Fishermans Bend Business Forum wholeheartedly endorses efforts that will unlock the full potential of our community. City of Port Phillip Council is steadfastly working toward a brighter future for Fishermans Bend, and their recent media release resonates strongly with us. The Fishermans Bend Framework 2018 stands as a testament to our shared vision. It emphasises the importance of delivering effective transportation solutions, significant open spaces, and essential infrastructure to meet the needs of our current and future community. This masterplan resulted from years of collaboration between the Council, the Victorian Government, our community, developers, and other stakeholders. Unfortunately, some key elements of this plan, such as essential infrastructure like Light Rail, Metro Rail, have not materialised as initially agreed. We firmly believe that well-planned and efficient transport systems are pivotal in ensuring Fishermans Bend evolves into a world-class environment for living, working, and recreation. We share the frustrations of our community and continue to be committed to this cause.
