Cardboard coffins are becoming increasingly popular due to their environmental benefits, affordability, and customisability. At Parley Green we use over 80% recycled content, which makes them an eco-friendly option for those who are environmentally conscious. Our Parley Green Caskets are also biodegradable and do not contain any toxic resins, which makes them a sustainable option for those who want to reduce their carbon footprint. Our caskets can start from as little as £65 ex VAT so not only are they environmentally friendly, but our caskets and coffins are also more affordable than traditional wooden coffins. In an age where consumers are looking for less fuss and more affordable funerals, cardboard can offer a cost-effective solution to many grieving families, easing the pressure at an already difficult time. We are on the lookout for new suppliers, so if this has peaked your interest, reach out to us today or download a brochure. www.parleygreen.co.uk #cardboardcoffin #sustainability #innovative

We have had the picking line here again courtesy of Cotswold Recycling Company Ltd. We’ve been trialling it with different waste streams and it seems to be a perfect fit! Let’s talk about it though, what is a picking line and what are its benefits? Picking lines are typically elevated and positioned above several bays or sections, one for each material picked from mixed waste. They’re designed for the manual separation of recyclables within an enclosed and controlled environment, by operators working at a conveyer line that passes through. A main benefit of a picking line is its efficiency, it makes sorting through mixed waste so much quicker. An excavator with a grab is used to pick up and place material on the moving conveyer, sending it up to pickers to sort through. This process makes each lot of waste more manageable. Rather than a huge pile to work through, it is fed through in sections so pickers can focus on making sure nothing is missed or placed in the wrong area. For all your waste needs: T: 01630639888 E: info@arrichards.co.uk W: www.arrichards.co.uk Or contact Alex Gammon or Robert Tedcastle #waste #wastemanagement #recycle #recycling #pickingline

Don't forget to recycle your wrapping paper! ‘Tis the season to be jolly… and to generate an awful lot of waste. We hope you’re enjoying the festivities but don't forget you can recycle your wrapping paper and Christmas cards, as well as the cardboard, glass, plastic, foil, and cans that mount up at a surprising rate this time of year. Glitter-free paper wrapping, gift bags, cards, and envelopes can all be recycled if they pass the scrunch test. Simply crumple each one up into a ball, and if it stays scrunched it can go in the recycling. If it ‘bounces’ back it needs to go in the bin. Remember to remove Sellotape, ribbons, and other wrapping embellishments, and to put lids back on clean containers before recycling. Real Christmas trees can be replanted, composted, cut up and placed in your garden waste bin, chopped/chipped and used in your garden, or taken to a recycling centre. Some councils offer a tree collection service. Batteries and electrical equipment can be recycled at high street retailers such as Boots or certain supermarkets, or you can take them to the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) area of a recycling and household waste site. When in doubt, don’t guess. You could end up contaminating your recycling or sending something recyclable to landfill. Check with your local council to find out what is accepted in your kerbside recycling – it only takes a moment! #Christmas #Packaging #Sustainbility #Recycling #Waste

As a company that specialises in #waste and #recycling management, we’ve seen our fair share of bizarre, disturbing and dangerous items pulled out of bins – a samurai sword among the strangest. Horror stories aside, this spooky season we ask that you are conscious of how you dispose of your Halloween itinerary, including costumes and decorations – for example, pumpkins made into jack-o-lanterns can be placed in a FOGO bin, but be sure to avoid tossing any soft plastic lolly wraps into recycling. Putting the right rubbish in the right bin isn't just important for recycling and sustainability, it matters for the safety of the people working in the industry too. 🛌 Sofas, washing machines, beds.......all these items (and more) are classed as 'bulky waste'. Twice a week our bulky waste crew go out to clear the bulky waste areas located on the estates. 🤔 A lot of the time these items still have plenty of life left in them - so how can you make sure they carry on being used? 💚 If your items are in good condition, British Heart Foundation will collect them from you, free of charge. ♻ There are plenty of platforms such as Freegle and The Freecycle Network or Facebook Marketplace where you can ensure items get passed on. ♻ Put a shout out to friends and family to see who may want your items. ♻ Have you tried upcycling? Maybe giving a chair a new lick of paint, or trying your hand at a bit of upholstery to give the item a new lease of life. 📞 If you do need to dispose of items, be sure to get in touch with our contact centre on 020 7606 3110 to arrange a collection (please note: this is service is only for City of London residents). 📍 If you live on one of our estates, then check out where your nearest bulky waste point is on site. #circulareconomy #reuse #GreenSqMile #upcycle #furniturereuse Veolia UK 👉 https://lnkd.in/eG5WZ5xf for more information

How to choose a garbage bag❓ To choose a garbage container made of film, which will fit the container and meet the purpose of use, pay attention to the parameters. Let's analyse each of them in detail. ✅ Size This is one of the most important selection criteria. In its format, the bag must be slightly larger than the waste container. Each label contains detailed information so that you can buy the most suitable option. The volume of this container is measured in litres. The container or bucket is also labelled with how many litres the container can hold. To find the best size of film, add about 20-50% to the volume of your tank. I hope my tips will be useful to you) Polypak nearby 💚💙 #rubbishbags #wastemanagement #choosingtips #container #sizeguide #ecofriendly #sustainability #environmentallyfriendly #recycling #reducewaste #sizematters #wastebins #garbagebags #plasticbags #shoppingtips #householdtips #environment #greenliving #plasticfree #zerowaste #tipsandtricks #ecotips #savetheplanet #consciousconsumption #recycleplastic #reduceplastic #ecofriendlyproducts #environmentalimpact #sustainableliving

Could your business benefit from saving £𝟳𝟶,𝟶𝟶𝟶 over a 2 year period? 🤑 Podpak did with our help; keep reading to find out how. Back in 2022 we trialled an Orwak 5030 compactor with Podpak, a leading manufacturer of food ingredient pods, as they had a 40yd RORO skip filled with disposal PPE that couldn't be recycled. The waste was so light and fluffy that the black bags were filling the skip fast, resulting in multiple lifts per week! The trial was a huge success, as squashing all the fresh air out of the bags reduced their lifts so much that they started saving £2500 - £3000 per month immediately - so they opted for 3 machines, one for each area of the factory. Fast forward 2 years, to the launch of their sophisticated new nut-free facility it was a no brainer to have an allocated machine for the new production area so we had the pleasure of providing them with a shiny new machine so they can efficiently process their waste in all areas of the business. With how costs have risen over the last 2 years since they implemented this process, they have probably saved over £70,000 as well as reducing the skip lorry visits by 75% too, offering them less disruption to their site as well as the environmental benefits! 👌 Let us help you save too.
