Happy National Margarita Day! Let's celebrate responsibly and keep the festivities safe for everyone. Did you know that alcohol-related accidents are a major concern on our roads? In the spirit of #NationalMargaritaDay, let's raise awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving. According to recent stats, a significant number of accidents are linked to impaired driving. Be the change and choose alternatives like designated drivers, rideshares, or public transportation if we decide to enjoy a margarita or two. Remember, our goal is to have a good time while keeping our community safe! Cheers to a fun and responsible National Margarita Day! #ATCEMS #DrinkResponsibly #DontDrinkAndDrive #SafetyFirst

Thought Partner for Entrepreneurs and Professionals seeking clarity on their next career move. On the flip side, helping employers create more inclusive workplaces. Let's book a virtual chat!
Keeping up with this week's theme of self-care and networking, I'm sharing a post about Brazen, an event for women taking place on Friday May 31, 2024. The inaugural Brazen event on May 4, 2023, was a blast! (pun intended for Star Wars fans) I learned from uplifting speakers, for example Hadriana Leo and V. Ophelia Rigault M.Ed. who shared practical and actionable advice. I enjoyed reconnecting with folks I hadn't seen in person in a while, meeting folks in person that I'd met online, and meeting new folks too! It was a networking win, expanding and strengthening my #FriendlyForcesNetwork And the food was locally sourced and superb!!! If you're in the Bay of Quinte area, and enjoy investing in engaging networking opportunities, with fabulous food, people, and learning opportunities, then I am happy to recommend this event. PS: I do NOT receive any financial remuneration for sharing this event. It was simply too fun to keep to myself. ------------- A bit about me - I love helping people create and discover ideal jobs, by teaching strategies and tactics that you can use over, and over, and over, again. On the flip side, I share tactics and strategies employers may choose to use to create more IDEAL jobs. Click on the bell in my profile to be notified of future posts. #ShareLearnThrive – when we share what we know, and learn from each other, we can all find ways to thrive.
Your friendly reminder that the Brazen 2024 early bird ticket sale goes live tomorrow at 6am ✨ Don't forget to set your alarms!

Every year, approximately 1.19 million lives are tragically cut short due to road traffic crashes. These incidents not only cause immense personal loss but also have significant economic impacts on individuals, families, and entire nations. Here are some key facts and effective interventions to promote road safety: More than half of all road traffic deaths occur among pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists. We must prioritize their safety by designing safer infrastructure and incorporating road safety features into land-use and transport planning. Accommodating human error is crucial. Our transport systems should be responsive and forgiving. The safe system approach emphasizes safe roads, safe speeds, safe vehicles, and safe road users. By addressing these cornerstones, we can eliminate fatal crashes and reduce serious injuries. Speed directly impacts crash risk and severity. Even a 1% increase in mean speed leads to a 4% rise in fatal crash risk. Let's adhere to speed limits and protect vulnerable road users. The United Nations aims to halve the global number of deaths and injuries from road traffic crashes by 2030. Governments, private sectors, and civil society organizations must collaborate to achieve this goal¹. Remember, road safety is everyone's responsibility. Let's drive cautiously, follow traffic rules, and ensure that our roads remain accident-free during these challenging times. Together, we can make a difference! 🌟 #RoadSafety #AccidentPrevention #DriveSafe 🔗 Learn more about road traffic injuries from the World Health Organization [here](https://lnkd.in/giwEPyhT). 🌐👆 #SafetyFirst #LinkedInShare
🚗 Today, Daryl Mitchell - Sales Director had the privilege of attending a thought-provoking presentation at the Melbourne Museum, where publishers viewed a summary of two decades of road safety campaigns by the Transport Accident Commission (TAC). The insights shared were both sobering and inspiring, highlighting the immense progress made in reducing road trauma across our state. 🎥 Memorable Campaigns: Over the years, the TAC has delivered approximately 160 TVc's, along with countless billboards, radio ads, and press campaigns. Some of their most memorable slogans have become part of our everyday language. Who can forget the blunt message: “If you drink, then drive, you’re a bloody idiot”? Or the haunting ad tackling driver tiredness in 1994, featuring a kombi van colliding with a truck? These campaigns have left an indelible mark on the Victorian psyche, urging us all to be safer on the roads. 👏 Acknowledgments: Congratulations to Nardia Brancatisano John Thompson, GAICD, and Gemma Lasenby Lasenby for their dedication to road safety. Their work in engaging Victorian Government master media publishers and presenting this 20-year summary is commendable. As we face new challenges ahead, let’s continue to prioritize safety, advocate for responsible driving, and work together to protect lives on our roads. hashtag #RoadSafety hashtag #TAC hashtag #Victoria hashtag #ImpactfulCampaigns The TAC’s impact extends beyond advertising, with factors like safer cars, better roads, and legislation playing crucial roles in reducing road casualties
