Cut through the 💩 Keep it simple. Get back to basics. If you want to make the most of every second in the gym then start with the foundations mentioned below and don’t get caught up in the latest fad, spot reduction or gimmick training technique. Foundations: 1. Compound movements - two joints moving at the same time. 2. Supersets - Two exercises back to back without rest. 3. Push Pull - train opposing muscles. 4. 3-4 sets. 5. 10-15 reps 6. Cost is king. Time spent in a classroom is increasingly replaced by online refresher courses. Generally I'm not a fan, but at least it's nice to be able to do this without having to go to the office. Today I've been completing my Mental Health refresher training. I'll be honest, overall it hasn't changed my opinion of online courses. I was surprised how computer generated speech can mispronounce every single one of the brain's so-called "happy" chemicals: dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin and endorphines. The stand-out from the course was this TED talk by Wendy Suzuki. It won't be news to everyone but it grabbed my attention. I was happy that I already knew what a 401k was. Next I need to find the TED talk on "how smart phones mess with your kids' mental health". Wizz Air training team? Any ideas?? https://lnkd.in/ew3Yv9PJ
