Either way, it is so hard to be a ma n period. Especially with so many people telling you how to be a man. I always thought a good woman makes a man into a good man. That Confucius guy said too many things. Some are good but others did not help in shaping the humanity fairly. For example, separating boys and girls at the age of seven. There was no co-Ed schools in Korea till you went to college. And most of them were gender segregated. Men only dealt with nagging mothers whom worship the sons and teach the daughters into hand maidens for their future husbands, again per Mr. C's teaching, and the girls only learn to hate anything male. They swear that they will change the world to bring the gender equity when they grow up. Mind you, changing the world is a daunting task for most people and so, they, meaning Korean wives, decide to become warriors for the female ruled world alone. And men, as Mr. C taught us, remain indifferent as to this global warfare by the domestic kinda since we, the worshipped boys, seek to enhance ideals and knowledge for the universe and beyond only. We, the men, are totally in the blind as to what can happen when the Asian warriors for the gender equity meets America. It is no longer the equity......Dominance! To be continued and

A great man, who holds himself to high standards, is likely to be more self-critical and continuously strive for improvement. On the other hand, a soft man, who lacks self-discipline, might compensate by being overly critical of others to deflect attention from his own shortcomings. In my view, the former fosters personal growth and leadership, while the latter can lead to toxic behavior and strained relationships.

Damn true! Greatness lies in our ability to challenge ourselves, while smallness is evident in our tendency to criticize others. So let's aspire to greatness by being kind to ourselves and compassionate towards others.

So true, we are always improving ourselves to reach another level in our accomplishments and success stories! At age 67 ! I try harder because time is limited, and every second counts. It’s not be hard on ourselves. It’s trying to be the best version of ourselves to get something done!

Oh Confucius, why oh why you being so hard on us lost souls?!😅 Life is too precious in the 21st C for riddles of yesteryear. We both know none of those men are any good in the long run if they don't also learn to think critically and eventually stop being hard and start loving themselves and sharing such wisdom with the rest of the world around them! 🥰
