Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
I'm always a little sad at the end of events like the NIIMBL | The National Institute for Innovation in Manufacturing Biopharmaceuticals National Meeting. Everyone is so busy that weeks like this one are rare and magic and no one does it better than NIIMBL. There's no way I could tag all of the amazing folks from this giant meeting but I can capture the essence with this photo we took last night at the final banquet. Thank you, my friends, the brilliant Michelle Lewis from Stack Family Center for Biopharmaceutical Education and Training, (CBET) the beautiful (and TALL) Nicole Merli, MBA, CRA from LumaCyte, the intrepid (mouse-wrangler) Baley Reeves and logical strategist Patricia Edgar from National Center for Therapeutics Manufacturing (NCTM), best panel facilitator Jacob Key from North Carolina Biotechnology Center (NCBiotech), my favorite ice cream advocate Wendy Oakes from Penn State University, and master educator Nicole Bradley from San Jacinto College for being the workforce rock stars (and industry partners) that you are. Not pictured but I have to mention Hee-Sook Song and Alok Patel who showered me with friendship on day one and set the tone for the week and Robert Morrison for being so thoughtful, smart, and sharing his knowledge with patience and generosity. And finally, John Balchunas, Kathie Young, and everyone from NIIMBL for organizing and hosting the most impactful (and fun!) conference I attend every year. You can just go ahead and sign me up for next year. (P.S. If I did not tag you, know that I still think you are amazing and I miss you already but this post was getting a little out of control, haha!) (P.P.S. Happy first NIIMBL to Linnea Fletcher and V Celeste Carter, first of many!)
