This semester, I participated in the course Key Communication and Leadership Skills. The course was led by Martin Záklasník, an expert in this field. 👨🎓 During the whole semester we covered a lot of interesting topics, had a lot of interesting debates etc. A lot of things were said that inspired me and can inspire me, both in my personal and professional life. Have you ever heard of IKIGAI, for example? It's about finding a personal mission in life, about finding the meaning of life. To find our IKIGAI, it is important to reflect on four values: 1) what we love 2) what we are good at 3) what the world needs 4) what will sustain us Where all four of these values intersect, there is your IKIGAI. How we drive culture within the team is enshrined in the fundamentals of strategic leadership. Indeed we celebrate small achievements, and we do so purposefully to inspire and stimulate others so they can learn to be bold in contributing to the cause, rather than create a 'I'm better than them' divide. Speaking candidly, for as long as the problem is solved TOGETHER as a TEAM, who gets the credit and for what reason is not essential.

Excerpt from Daniel Coyle’s book, “The Culture Code”…if those in leadership asked me these three questions, I have no doubt I’d be more invested. Problem I saw was that these leaders scored low on emotional intelligence and thought because they were incredibly book smart that people would follow their lead. They appeared to have all of the answers. They were in over their heads—big time! As this book so neatly lays out, authoritarian leadership isn’t sustainable. Cooperation and vulnerablity is needed by all. Leadership needs to be the one driving both! Chapter 10 about Seal Team Six and cooperation in small groups is absolute 🔥! It’s one of the best chapters on how to lead I’ve ever read.
