Great reminders. As experienced carers, we are conversant with the depth of care our seniors need and how it can sometimes take a toll on us. That’s why self care is important as well; because how can you care for another when you have not cared for yourself. That is to say that our personal care is as important as the care we render others and we should never take this for granted. Over the years I have learned to find a common ground which we can both relate with, in that way we will both enjoy each other’s company while being completely professional about it. And I have thrived in that regard.
