Couldn't stay away from Amazon. Making my way back to the beginning at Amazon. June 8th I will become a seasonal hire at SWF1. Going through the recent experiences, I have learned that I am better as an associate. Reason's why I not management material: 1. Focus too much on making the associates happy. 2. Having the knowledge to know what would be best for a productive flow, only to piss off someone higher than me because of that fact. 3. Being able to have the talent to read someone better than most and when trying to make others see got me in trouble. 4. Knowing that I have the ability to multi-task, work like an associate and as a supervisor. 5. Not good at politics. 6. AND LAST BUT BIGGEST.... Let my passion, emotions and frustration get the best of me. I have accomplished things in my positions that people don't want to recognize not sure why. So with that being said SWF1 coming back.

Throwback to my Amazon days at Camarillo DOT4! Working in a any safety role, sometimes you have to take your safety hat off, role up your sleeves, stretch, put on some PPE, and support operations. One on occasion, like many others, during Peak 2021, I was asked to support the team, to ensure on time unloading. When I completed my assigned task, I returned to my desk to go about my day and found this thank-you note. The mystery of who left it on my desk remains, but to this day, I cherish that unexpected appreciation—even if it was on a napkin! To all those Amazon employees working this 2023 Peak season, I will wear my Peak 2021 shirt, while I place my Amazon orders. Stay safe! Key takeaways: 1. Safety and operations are a united front. Support each other; don't work against each other. 2. A simple thank you has lasting effects on building trust and relationships. #Throwback #Amazon #SafetyFirst #Teamwork #AppreciationMatters

Expert in Thermodynamics and Mathematics. Possess Bullshit Piercing Plasma Gun against Reality Distortion Field. Esp in Clean Tech and AI and… Human Rights CEO and Founder at Alp Tech
For more than 4 decades, Walmart’s company policy and its major profit driver have been to shift labor cost to U.S. government and its tax payers. They pay their ‘associates’ below living wage with full knowledge (and calibrated at corporate level) the amount of public assistance such as food stamps and public healthcare that their employees qualify for. When Walmart became the largest physical retailers in U.S., they also became U.S. largest workforce on public assistance using our tax dollars. Therefore… we all have been paying for the Walmart discounts from our income taxes. Don’t buy from #Walmart and it’s high tech equivalent called #Amazon Amazon copy and pasted the exact labor and exploitation strategy but did it even more aggressively. For more than a decade… they didn’t even contribute to state sales taxes while their employees were getting public benefits because Amazon’s system designer make sure they are all working poor that would need public assistance - an indentured servant or slave of sort. #truth on #capitalism and #neoliberalism

Building in Stealth | Ex Associate Director at Arzooo | Ex CEO at BioGrid | Ex Program Manager at Amazon India
I was working on the 28th floor in @bangalore world trade when I got promoted to Program Manager at Amazon The six of us had a 270-degree glass view. Colleagues used to come to our desk to take pictures of the sunset. I had amazing visibility in the team and was working with Directors and VPs, which employees who were 1-2 levels ahead of me couldn't achieve. I was getting added to mail threads with 60-70 people in it and I solved those mails in a jiffy for the category and got appreciated by Cat Leads and Directors, which was BAU for me. My manager, who was new to the team, used to consult with me before replying to any email I was part of. I felt comfortable, important, valued, and respected. But I still quit Amazon and broke out of my comfort zone to join Ninjacart where I had to visit the vegetable market at 4 am to acquire soft skills. In no time, I found myself messy, standing in dirty water and working 12-16 hours a day, trying to solve numerous problems. This shift was like day and night for me. When I look back after 5 years, I see that I have made a 5x jump in my salary during this period, gaining a lot of skills and experiences. I was fortunate to make a lot of business decisions which impacted the businesses I handled which I couldn't have made if I had stayed back at Amazon. Don't be worried about change. Don't let your comfort zone kill your growth. Move jobs if you think you aren't learning or making an impact. #CareerGrowth #UpSkill #ComfortZone #WTC #Amazon

This is a dozy of a month let me tell you. Tomorrow I start my first shift as an #OperationsManager stretch, putting me at the point where I go from running crews of 30-100 associates and a couple PAs to a #manager of those managers. I've already covered and led plenty of successful shifts during my time in CAP but to go from covering someone else to getting to fully own the shift as my own is just totally bonkers. I can't wait to see what we accomplish. Not to mention - holy cow, can you believe I've been at #Amazon 3 years now?! That's 4 senior changes, 9 direct supervisor changes, 4 shift changes, 2.5 years on nights, dozens of coworkers and hundreds of associates I've gotten to know and learn from. On a personal note, I moved into a new townhome, assembled a lot of furniture with only a few critical errors along the way, and have gotten into a love hate relationship with my houseplants and the gnats that won't leave them. It's my birthday Tuesday and I have a lot to be thankful for. There have been a lot of takeaways from this year and the biggest one is probably that I love steak fries from the taco truck on Sundays. But the second biggest is that even the things that seem small to us in the moment can leave big impacts on our goals and the lives of others. It can feel draining to show up and do good work day after day when the goals are big and seemingly insurmountable, yet its the little steps and the daily leading by example that creates the culture, progress, and yearly #reflections we can be proud of. #amazonvestlife #dsm5 #workanniversery
