Heart diseases severity in pets progress through various stages, starting from A to D. Typically, heart failure onset occurs at stage C1. However, stages A to B2 are in most cases asymptomatic, meaning pet owners may not notice any signs of the developing condition. 🔍 Understanding the Silent Progression During the asymptomatic stages, the disease quietly advances without outward symptoms. This can make it challenging for pet owners to recognize and address the problem early on. By the time symptoms appear, the condition might have already reached a more severe stage. 📈 The Role of Frequent Monitoring To counter this, regular monitoring is essential. With the advent of advanced technology, we now have the tools to detect heart issues before they become critical. Devices equipped with AI and monitoring capabilities can track your pet’s health even at home, providing crucial data that might otherwise go unnoticed. 🚨 Anticipating Heart Failure Frequent monitoring with AI-driven devices helps anticipate the onset of heart failure. Early detection allows for quicker interventions, potentially increasing the survival rates and quality of life for your beloved pets. By staying informed and proactive, you can make a significant difference in managing your pet’s heart health. 💡 Take Action Today Ensure the well-being of your pets by incorporating regular monitoring into their healthcare routine. Early detection and intervention are key to managing heart disease effectively. Let’s work together to keep our furry friends healthy and happy. #heartfailure #petcare #veterinary #pethealthcare #medtech

Did you know that today is National Pet Obesity Day? This has been observed since 2007 and was created to help raise awareness about how big a problem obesity is in our pets. A recent study looked at 1100 adult and 516 juvenile dogs in the UK. In the adults 65% were classed as overweight and 9% as obese. Worryingly, in the young dogs 37% were classed as overweight and 3% as obese. We all know that being overweight is not good for us, and it is just as dangerous for our pets, increasing their chances of developing diabetes, osteoarthritis, heart disease, and some forms of cancer. Unfortunately, so many people just don’t realise that their pet is overweight, or that the weight is creeping up. There are lots of great resources you can use to find out more, or just give us a call to find out if your pet is overweight and what you can do. Some fun things that people do today are take your pet on their favourite walk, try a fun new exercise, have a tasty healthy treat, and raise awareness! #NationalPetObesityDay

Meet our new patients Jack and Harry! 🐈⬛💙 🐈⬛ These two cuties received their Annuals and Neuters! These practices are crucial for their health and well-being. 😍 Here’s why they matter: Benefits of Annual Exams: 🐾 Early Detection: Regular check-ups help catch potential health issues before they become serious, allowing for early intervention and more effective treatment. 🐾 Preventive Care: Keeping vaccinations and parasite control up to date prevents many common and serious diseases. 🐾 Comprehensive Health Monitoring: Annual exams include a thorough physical examination, dental check, and routine blood tests to monitor your pet’s overall health. 🐾 Tailored Advice: Vets can provide personalized recommendations on nutrition, behavior, and lifestyle to ensure your pet's well-being. 🐾 Peace of Mind: Knowing that your pet is healthy and well-cared for brings peace of mind to you as a pet owner. Benefits of Neutering: 🐾 Prevents Overpopulation: Neutering helps control the pet population, reducing the number of homeless animals in shelters. 🐾 Reduces Health Risks: Neutering prevents testicular cancer and decreases the risk of prostate problems in males. 🐾 Improves Behavior: Neutered males are less likely to roam, mark their territory with urine, or exhibit aggressive behavior. 🐾 Longer Lifespan: Pets that are neutered tend to live longer, healthier lives due to the reduction of disease risks and decreased urge to roam and fight. 🐾 Community Health: Reducing the number of stray animals helps prevent the spread of diseases and reduces the risk of animal-related injuries in the community. 🐾 Engaging Question: How do you keep up with your pet’s annual exams and health checks? Share your tips and experiences in the comments below! 💬👇 #PetHealth #AnnualExams #Neutering #MaricampWellness

You want to do EVERYTHING you can to keep your pet around as LONG as you can, right? Stop that scroll. It has been repeatedly shown that overweight pets LIVE SHORTER LIVES than those kept at an ideal weight 😮 Let alone there are several diseases that are associated with or exacerbated by being overweight, such as arthritis, diabetes, urinary tract disease...I could go on. So why is it we found in our recent survey data that only 1 in 5 pet owners says their pet has been/is currently overweight, but vets estimate that 61% of dogs and 53% of cats they examine are HEAVIER THAN THEIR IDEAL BODY WEIGHT. I am SO FRIGGIN proud to report our most recent pet health education campaign has been focused around what in the HECK we can possibly do going forward to stop the continued increase in percentage of overweight pets. This push is for pet owners and for veterinary professionals, and comes down to the disconnect we still face between the two. It's time to take this data and shift our mindset towards PREVENTION! From day 1 party people - your pets weight should be discussed just as much as what vaccines they need, what parasite prevention you should use, or what food you feed them. To check out all our epic content and data, use these links for whichever mode suits your fancy 😀 We've got a site, we've got articles, press releases, videos, social, posts and DATA everywhereeeeeee.
