Over the last 15 years, we've supported humanitarian responses in over 40 countries. We know first hand that agency-led change isn't always enough. Systems are broken, politics are real, and organizational constraints often trump what actually makes the most sense for those affected by crisis. Though as independents, we realized we didn't want to lose the benefits of peer-to-peer collaboration or the ability to work flexibly based on needs and expertise. We also didn't think another consulting firm was the answer. So, we founded 𝐙𝐞𝐛𝐬. Zebs is a collective of 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬. We’ve been colleagues and peers for most of our professional lives. We found ourselves continually collaborating on cash and markets-based programmes around the world, promoting social protection linkages, accountable digitalization, and integrated programming …before they had names. We work across diverse networks in public and private spheres to chip away at deep-rooted, systemic problems - pushing to redefine how humanitarian assistance, and cash programming in particular, is designed and delivered. We are especially keen to amplify local communities who know contexts best, supporting independents to weigh in on discussions that they may otherwise not have access to. Whether working with one, two, or all - Zebs intend to bring this spirit of local accountability to anything we touch. Curious to learn more about how we work? Exactly one year from today, on March 4 2025, the temporary protection for people displaced from Ukraine is set to expire. Without a common European approach, millions of people risk becoming undocumented and losing access to rights, protection and other essential services, national authorities will likely be overwhelmed, and much of the inclusion work of governments, municipalities, NGOs and volunteers risks being undone. Together with another 130 Civil Society Organisations, La Strada International calls on the EU to provide future-proof solutions now. THE 60TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION OF OECD’S DEVELOPMENT CO-OPERATION REPORT 2023 🔳 🌍🌎🌏 _______   IN THE LAST THREE YEARS, multiple global crises and the growing urgency of containing climate change have put current models of development co-operation to, perhaps, their most radical test in decades. The goal of a better world for all seems harder to reach, with new budgetary pressures, demands to provide regional and global public goods, elevated humanitarian needs, and increasingly complex political settings. Critique of the roots, rationale and operations of the international aid system is resulting in calls for fundamental change, manifesting, for example, in the movements to address colonial legacies and racism in the sector.   This 60th anniversary edition of the Development Co-operation Report takes stock of these challenges, and proposes ways forward along four lines of action: 1. UNLOCK progress to deliver existing commitments; 2. SUPPORT locally led transformation in partner countries; 3.
