Many girls experience shame, embarrassment, and anxiety related to menstruation, negatively impacting their self-esteem, confidence, and overall well-being. This can lead to social isolation and hinder their participation in school activities. Through our school clubs, we facilitate open discussions and create safe spaces where girls can openly address menstrual health issues, seek guidance from informed peers, and break free from stigma and shame. #FMFProjects #sexualreproductiveHealth #SRHR #AfyaYaUzazi #HedhiSalama #MenstrualHealthHygiene #EndPeriodStigma #SDG3

Encouraging menstrual health conversations Reflecting on the menstrual health and hygiene talks that we regularly conduct with young girls, l am reminded that there is no "one size fits all" solution to addressing the challenges that menstruators face. A key element of our training seeks to make young girls aware that everyone is different in their unique way. We need to embrace those differences among us and create a platform where we can all thrive and flourish. Through regular interaction and conversations, we are able to get more diverse opinions and perspectives that help us develop effective solutions to address period poverty in our communities. To stimulate the change needed to eradicate stigma, shame and discomfort around menstruation, we need to continue actively engaging more role players in such conversations. #menstruationmatters #menstrualhygiene

Some sporting cultures promote the loss of the menstrual cycle as optimum. It's not. The cycle isn't a switch to be turned off and on - deactivating it takes a tremendous physical and psychological toll on a woman, and it also robs her of a key marker of her general health. This piece of sporting culture is deep-set and we need to right the myth. Loss of the cycle isn't good. Returning it to full operation can be a long and challenging process but worth it in the long run as it can benefit bone density and reproductive health. My name is Raymond Mwanza and this is what I would do, with the current situation in our country 🌱 Tackling Drought: Strategies for Sustainable Water Management 🌱Drought, a prolonged and severe lack of rainfall, poses significant challenges to agriculture, water supply, and ecosystems. To address this pressing issue, we must adopt a comprehensive approach that combines short-term responses with long-term strategies for resilience. Here's how we can tackle drought: 1.Water Conservation: Implementing water-saving practices like fixing leaks and using efficient appliances can reduce water wastage. 2.Drought Monitoring: Developing early warning systems helps in early detection, allowing for timely responses and preparedness measures. 3.Improved Water Management: Implementing integrated water resource management strategies can optimize water availability during drought periods. 4.Diversification of Water Sources: Developing alternative water sources like rainwater harvesting and desalination can reduce dependence on scarce water resources. 5.Ecosystem Restoration: Restoring and conserving ecosystems can improve water retention and recharge, contributing to water availability during droughts. 6.Drought-Resistant Crops: Promoting the use of drought-resistant crop varieties and sustainable farming practices can help farmers cope with water scarcity. 7.Community Engagement: Educating communities about water conservation and sustainable water use practices can foster a culture of water stewardship. 8.Policy Development: Developing and implementing effective drought management policies is essential for drought resilience. 9.Infrastructure Investment: Investing in water infrastructure can improve storage and distribution, especially during dry periods. 10.Climate Change Mitigation: Addressing the root causes of climate change can help mitigate the frequency and severity of droughts in the long term.By combining these strategies in an integrated approach, we can enhance resilience to drought and reduce its impacts on communities, agriculture, and ecosystems. Join me in the journey towards sustainable water management! #DroughtManagement #WaterConservation #Sustainability #BusinessInsightsWithRay
What would you do if you were in a position of influence? Lusa Kilale As a menstrual health activist, if I were in power, I would prioritize implementing comprehensive menstrual education in schools, destigmatizing menstruation, and ensuring access to affordable menstrual products for all individuals. Additionally, I would advocate for policies that provide paid menstrual leave and ensure workplace accommodations for those experiencing menstrual-related health issues. Overall, my goal would be to create a society where menstruation is understood, respected, and supported without discrimination or shame. #ActivateYouthProjectzm #youthparticapation #YouthinPolicy #youthengagement
