March of Dimes will present the 14th Annual Pittsburgh Transportation, Building and Construction Awards Luncheon to honor the leaders and projects from both the public and private sectors of the transportation, building and construction industries on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at the Westin Pittsburgh. March of Dimes strives to deliver healthy futures for families. Unfortunately, for too many babies and their families that won’t happen. With your generous support we can continue to lead the fight for the health of all moms and babies. You can donate today at https://lnkd.in/gCiYASyB. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, please reach out to Becky Clement at RClement@marchofdimes.org or me at broth@marchofdimes.org.

Chief Operating Officer - National Child Protection Task Force | Chief Legal Officer - ClickSafe Intelligence | Founder - Eguzkilore Consulting, LLC
As a trial attorney, you learn to recite facts in a compelling manner. In doing so, you learn that truth is often stranger than fiction. So let me tell you a story... I left my decade-long career as a prosecutor to join The National Child Protection Task Force full-time in 2021. I had no apprehension. It was a leap of faith in a dedicated group of individuals who were focused on saving #justonemore child from exploitation. However, I had one regret: not being able to directly support my community the way I did as an ADA. I missed that direct impact I was able to give survivors and their families. Then I received an email earlier this year from an officer we trained in New York. That officer was thanking us. He told us about a young girl who went missing - presumably a runaway - in his jurisdiction. However, based on our training he knew something didn't add up. Utilizing techniques NCPTF taught him, they located the girl with a man twice her age who had groomed her via a video game platform. Between our training and their ceaseless work, they were able to recover the girl in 24 hours even though the defendant took her out of state. The defendant brought her to my home county in Pennsylvania. He's being prosecuted by my former office. NCPTF strives to serve all law enforcement and strengthen their ability to recover missing and exploited children. The more we are able to train officers, to assist them in their times of need, the wider the our impact. It's the butterfly effect in action. Therefore, I ask you to consider donating to us today, #givingtuesday, because there is a good chance you can help save a vulnerable child in your own backyard.
We believe that EVERY child deserves a childhood filled with safety and joy, free from harm and trauma. On this Giving Tuesday, please partner with us in this effort by making a quick donation at https://ncptf.org/donate. Thank you for your continued partnership. 💙 #NCPTF #JustOneMore #GivingTuesday #ChildhoodMatters

Smiles like these represent the magic moment a child receives the gift of clear vision. Eye Thrive is best known for our comprehensive eye exams and glasses made on-site, but what makes us truly unique is the way we step up to support our kids. Eye Thrive’s wraparound services take comprehensive continuity of care to the next level. So far this school year, Eye Thrive has conducted 8,796 vision screenings, provided 1,420 comprehensive eye exams during 44 Mobile Vision Clinic visits, and dispensed 1,933 pairs of glasses, including 394 replacements. Still, the need exists beyond what we can imagine. Our services are transformative and essential. We must continue to expand our reach and change the lives of even more kids that urgently need us. We can show up for them this school year, but not without your help. Through our wraparound services, Eye Thrive is always here for our kids, from start to finish.
