This Dusshera, let's draw inspiration from the wisdom of Ayurveda to celebrate the triumph of good over evil in a wholesome way. 🏹 As we celebrate Dusshera, let's also celebrate the wisdom of Ayurveda, acknowledging the role of nutrition in our lives. By choosing food that aligns with our unique constitution, we can conquer health challenges and lead a life filled with abundance and well-being. Ayurveda teaches us that our health is intricately linked to what we consume. Just as Lord Rama's victory symbolizes the triumph of righteousness, our food choices can lead to victory over ill health and imbalances. Ayurveda emphasizes the importance of balanced nutrition and the right dietary choices to maintain physical and mental well-being. On this auspicious occasion, let's remember that the choices we make in our kitchens can be as powerful as the choices made on the battlefield. Nourishing our bodies with the right foods can lead to greater vitality, clarity, and good health in the long run. It takes 35 days for the nutritive and digestive processes to be complete, and all 7 tissues to receive what they need, according to Ayurveda (with the assumption that our food is actually what supports us, and that we are able to digest, absorb and assimilate it). That means it also takes at least 35 days (often more, ie 2 to 3 cycles) to see the results of what we start to change today. In a world where we grow increasingly impatient, where we can take a pill to bandaid our issues, where we’re hooked on instant gratification and satisfaction, where everything is quite literally at our fingertips, traditional systems of medicine invite us to consider the natural pace and rhythm of our bodies. We can decide to be frustrated about it, or we can decide to embrace a different perspective. To stop fighting and doing hard, and instead sink into the soft seat of nature. THAT is freaking radical. It’s also why I only work in at least 3 months containers with clients. I’m not here to waste anyone’s time and finances with 2 cheap sessions that will make no difference. I’m not here to waste my own time and energy working with people who are not quite committed and are looking for a quick, easy fix with little personal investment. There’s nothing wrong about that, but it’s not what I do. I’m here for loving connection and meaningful care, and life transformation. It doesn’t have to take long, and it doesn’t have to be hard, but it does require a wholehearted desire for change. If you’re ready, you know where to find me ❤️. . . #soulwork #radicalhealth #radicalwellness #radicalwellnessrevolution #holisticcare #holistichealth #holisticwellness #selfcare #selflove #ayurveda #ayurvediclifestyle #ayurvedaworks #theholisticinitiative

Struggling with digestive issues like IBS and food restrictions led Steph to explore Ayurveda, the ancient Indian wisdom of life and health. Ayurveda isn't just a diet – it's a way of life that's been practised for over 3,000 years. Here's what Ayurveda is all about: The term "Ayurveda" combines "ayur" (life) and "veda" (knowledge) and originated in ancient India. Its core principles involve interconnectedness, the body's constitution (prakriti), and life forces (doshas). It aims to eliminate impurities, alleviate symptoms, and restore balance in life through herbs, plants, oils, and spices. If you're curious about this holistic approach to well-being, we invite you to read "Rediscovering Ayurveda: The Forgotten Traditional Indian Medicine.
