New concept plan shows how Dublin's Riverview Village project will be developed A new concept plan for Riverview Village reveals how the City of Dublin, Ohio USA project could be developed. The team behind the mixed-use project, which is led by COhatch CEO Matthew Davis submitted a conceptual review to the city showing the uses and location of each building. While the bulk of the project is similar to the plan previously filed with the city, the most notable change is what Davis described as the “face” of #RiverviewVillage. The area serving as the main entryway into the village will be a public plaza for #arts and #craft fairs, #makersmarkets, #startup #pitchcompetitions, entertainment and other events. Anchoring the plaza will be a meeting and event venue constructed on the site of a historic home that will be demolished. The new building, which Davis said will look similar to a barn, will have roughly 2,800 square feet of meeting rooms and event space and will connect to an existing home at 45 N. Riverview St. that will be redeveloped into a bar. “You’ll be able to go through the event space into that house where we’ll have a really cool, saloon-style bar inside of it,” he said. “The cool thing is you go from a new space into an old house and get a drink inside of that.” Davis said the goal in connecting the two spaces is to have flexibility for events. He said smaller gatherings such as cocktail receptions could be held in the house, and the barn-style venue could host larger events such as #weddings, fundraisers or all-day #businessmeetings. The event space also will have an outdoor patio area with space for #foodtrucks and temporary #bars. “What we’re trying to do is be able to have #indoorevents in the winter and also outdoor events as well,” he said. Another structure that will be restored is a red cabin at 62 N. Riverview St. that will be expanded to include an outdoor deck with an attached bar. Inside the building, Davis said there could be both a #cocktaillounge and #cafe. Next to the the cabin will be a newly constructed building that will serve as the new #COhatch headquarters. It will have meeting rooms, private offices and other typical COhatch offerings. “It will be kind of our standard product inside of it, but it will be right on the river and there will be a couple unique suites that will have direct access from Riverview Village in the front so companies can go directly into their own space,” Davis said. Another restored home, 37 N.
