#BGEVolunteers from our Exelon Militaries Actively Connected (EMAC) employee resource group recently supported the Maryland Center for Veterans Education and Training (McVET) with a fun cookout event. It was a beautiful day giving back to our community!

Pride Month is important to gas dispatcher Amanda Fitch because it celebrates and accepts love between people from all walks of life. "To me, it symbolizes togetherness and unity. Being part of BGE's PRIDE employee resource group allows me to get more involved in causes that support the LGBTQ community. It also helps me contribute to creating a safe space for people in the company and spreading awareness and knowledge about various subjects related to the community."

On #Juneteenth, the BGE chapter of the Exelon African American Resource Alliance (EAARA) hosted a moving celebration with inspiring words from Dr. Brian Morrison, Maryland Commissioner for African American History and Culture, a spoken word poem by one of our employees and a dance performance from Baltimore's Fearless Dance Empire. What a great opportunity to recognize and commemorate this important day!

In honor of #Juneteenth, yesterday #BGEVolunteers from the Exelon African American Resource Alliance (EAARA) collaborated with the YMCA of Central Maryland at Druid Hill to support their Fresh Mart and street cleaning programs. We're proud to support our local community and to commemorate the day by giving back!

Last week, BGE, alongside Under Armour, M&T Bank, and The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, kicked off the Sophomore Externship Experience (SEE) Your Future Program! This immersive, paid externship, organized by the Baltimore Collegetown Network, gives rising sophomores a unique chance to explore careers in business through rotations with top employers in the city.

Immigrant Heritage Month is an important time for us to celebrate the diverse cultural, historical, and societal contributions of our immigrant community. Recognizing the sacrifices and achievements of immigrants underscores the foundational role they play in the flourishing of our nation. By participating in this month-long celebration, we honor these contributions and strengthen our commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive community within BGE and beyond. Last week, Exelon hosted its annual Innovation Expo, showcasing how we're "Innovating Together to Power the Future." BGE highlighted our groundbreaking work in field safety and efficiency, sharing insights that are now being applied across other Operating Companies. It was inspiring to see the real, tangible progress we're making across all workstreams, reinforcing our commitment to innovation and collaboration.

Today, we celebrate the first-ever National Control Room Workers Day, recognizing the exceptional dedication and skill of control room workers across various industries, including our own here at BGE. Their 24/7 commitment to safety, reliability, and split-second decision-making ensures the seamless operation of our electric, gas, and transmission systems – a testament to their invaluable role in our community.
