When I worked at Arthur Andersen out of college, the culture there was incredible. They were head and shoulders better than any other public accounting firm. They were incredibly innovative, knowing they had to always be 2 steps ahead to maintain that edge. It’s a great business lesson that if you do something innovative or creative in your business, your completion will inevitably follow. People always like to fish in the fishing hole where others are catching fish! They key here is this: always be two or three steps ahead. Continue to refine and tweak your competitive advantage so that your competition is always in pursuit.
