As India’s election results are about to hit the news, I am sharing a memorable photo from our recent trip…captured while in traffic in New Delhi. Although likely remnant from past years protests for ag reforms (with so much controversial info online that I will refrain from citing), to my mind “No Farmers No Food” perfectly states a stark reality. Farmers in India have real impact on food security of an exponentially growing population. The economic impact of agriculture is huge with roughly 43% of working population in India working in Ag. Global economy depends on India’s food exports of key agricultural commodities like rice. And besides the farmers, big thanks to all ag business colleagues in India for their critical role in feeding the world!

In celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, it is so encouraging to see how women are now better represented in many scientific fields such as life sciences. However, they still remain a minority in critical fields that will shape our future like engineering, information technology, data science and computer science. Also, not to forget that they are still a minority among inventors (ironically today is the National Invertors’ Day as well). Here is an insightful UN report that is a call for all of us who are interacting and inspiring girls in K-12 either as volunteer or as parent, to promote data and technology literacy from an early age! #womeninscience #womeninstem #womenindatascience #IDWGS https://lnkd.in/exHjGchQ

A common challenge for global teams, especially after the pandemic, is getting together face-to-face...but nothing can stop us ;) This time we organized a "virtual retreat” for the team to unplug from day-to-day, connect the dots and connect with each other…and it was a great success! Among others, we learned about our customers, met leaders in marketing, product management, product supply, germplasm development and market segment teams….and it was truly an outstanding exchange! Kudos to our exceptional organizers: Julien G., Jialu Wei, Marcela Carvalho Andrade, and Stéphane Grenier who made this happen as well as our exceptional speakers! Thank you all wholeheartedly! Starting 2024 with lots of energy and excitement for how far we can go together…#syngentaproud
