Our Berlin team's competitive nature came out in force this week during their Summer Party!
After 2.5 exhausting and exciting hours of games in the Show Down Berlin, the team were hosted at Night Kitchen Berlin, for some well earned food & drinks.
Hope everyone had a great time!
Prost!
Guess what. 🌟
Amazon’s coming to the stage… 🎭
And YLT Translations is going to be part of it!
That’s right – you’ll get to see Jana in the spotlight, participating in a fantastic and truly innovative production all about the dance of Amazon. 💃 And selling on Amazon is a dance, indeed. 🕺
Award-winning theater director Daniel Wetzel of the Rimini Protokoll has put up La Dance d’Amazon, a careful and in-depth exploration of the Amazon world, and how the community that surrounds it – sellers, logistics providers, customers, service providers – has been changed immeasurably as a result. 🌍 The fascinating production focuses on consumerism and the effect that it has on our lives. 🛍️
Jana Krekic will most definitely play a role, alongside other thought leaders from the Amazon industry – and, get this – circus performers. 🎪 It’s a full-on theater play that has a very relevant theme… 🎟️ That will take place inside the biggest circus tent in Berlin. 🇩🇪 A circus production all about the circus of Amazon. Could anything be more poetic? 🤹
Our minds are blown. 🤯
We consume knowledge to help us improve our game at Amazon all the time. 💡 Conferences. Podcasts. Webinars. But have you ever been to the circus to learn more? 🎪 It’s time to. ⏰
We’re all performers on Jeff Bezos’s stage…but this time, an award-winning director brings something truly innovative to light, while still reminding us all of the best practices to help us improve our selling journey.
🌟 Don’t miss it. 🚫

Is Berlin going down or simply transforming into a new phase?
After 1989 and till approx. 2019 Berlin didn’t need any greater strategic political vision to become „the place to be“. Everyone who wanted to be at the forefront of creativity, art, entrepreneurship and all kinds of development felt a strong pull and people from all over Germany, Europe and the world came.
The historical coincidence of Germanys reunification created a unique environment offering free or cheap space to live, work and play. This unique set-up created some exceptional and powerful ecosystems from electronic music (earlier) to entrepreneurship (later).
From my perspective this „post German reunification era“ in Berlin is over.
There are no free or cheap places to live and work anymore and many of the former reasons that pulled people into the city are not valid anymore.
However I strongly believe that there are many important narratives that would be applicable for Berlins future, but I don’t see any of these discussed within the local politics (at least not public).
Therefore I would love to kick-off a discussion about the future of our city with you. We already started it with our talkshow #unboxingbetahaus with Diego Ain, Iva Jankovic, Olivia Czetwertynski, Madeleine Gummer v. Mohl 👋!
Let’s use this thread to collect exciting topics and ideas which can be the North Star, that lets our city thrive into the future and will keep it a place that attracts amazing people from all over the world!
What would be your vision for Berlin and which topics would you love to be leading and why do you believe would they be the right ones to bring us into a new era?
THX ❤️!

Here you see the Video from last month event in Frankfurt. In keynote I spoke about arriving in Germany, the struggles Expats face and the solution HAVENS LIVING offers as a #urbanlivingconcept
We see generally a political discussion around #fachkräftemangel rising. Examples are current talks around special tax solutions or government iniatives like the new one upcoming between Germany and India. So we are again in the middle of things.

𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗼𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗡𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 \\ As an event producer, I’ve learned that every detail counts, especially in logistics. The recent challenges at the No Values Punk Rock Festival highlight the importance of planning every part of the attendee experience. While crafting an unforgettable lineup is crucial, the success of an event also depends on smooth operations from arrival to departure.
Here are key takeaways for planning your events:
Promote Alternative Transportation: Use nearby public transport options and shuttles to reduce traffic and enhance convenience.
Ensure Accurate Communication: Provide clear and timely information about parking and transport options to avoid confusion.
Transportation Equity: Offer options beyond personal vehicles to make events more inclusive. Public transport aligns with the punk movement's ethos of equality and justice.
Future Planning: Capitalize on improvements in public transit infrastructure and balance the benefits with potential challenges.
By planning every aspect of the attendee journey, we can ensure our events are memorable for their content and seamless execution. Let’s learn from these missteps and strive to create events that rock from start to finish.

A late flurry of victories by the overall winner of the Tour de France provoked a discussion about decorum, and whether or not it’s ever appropriate for a champion to stand down. Jason Gay on the perpetual hot topic.
Steve Moore, founder and chief executive of Red Engine Team, the Flight Club and Electric Shuffleboard operator, talks to Katherine Doggrell at Propel's Multi Club conference about how the company has become a £100m-turnover business, its growth plans for the UK and the US, how it continues to innovate its F&B offer and games.
Quick quotes from Steve:
"Stories is big for us - what we send out after the event - photos etc... we treat re-bookers really well and we have customers who go to multiple venues in one night as the offer is slightly different in each venue."
"US market is a bit bizarre, in UK we are comfortable and we can localise the product nicely.. but there are many differences across cities and states, and social behaviour is different, in US it is more event-led... we have 8/9 sites and we think we can go to 200 in US, we are working on whether the smaller model works... the big one definitely does... our focus is on Australia, US and UK... F&B is about 70% of our revenue."
"Electric Shuffle is just about to launch in New York.. our average group size is ten and we focus on the ability to entertain groups."
"In UK London we will probably go to 12 but I would love to go explore smaller places for further growth... we have calls for the technology to be licensed but we refuse because we see it as part of our brand package."
