A recent article in BizBash recognized AIMM’s presence at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity Lions Festival of Creativity, highlighting the impact of our Belonging Lounges. We are proud to have created a welcoming space to foster discussions about inclusivity and we look forward to continuing to use our voice at next year’s festival.
The Internationalist also acknowledged AIMM’s push for industry-wide change, spotlighting the research presented by founder Gilbert Dávila on diverse-owned and diverse-targeted media at the 2nd annual AIMM GrowthFronts event in New York.
In addition to setting industry goals this year at GrowthFronts, AIMM measured industry progress in a recent report featured in an article in Roastbrief. This new research reveals a gap between organizational and industry progress when it comes to inclusivity and identifies industry challenges.

An active network relies on people, undoubtedly. But how can a large international company support its employees in getting to know each other across borders, exchanging ideas and making personal connections? This can be a challenge, especially for new employees. 🌐🤝
One of our programs at EOS was created precisely for this purpose - the "𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 @𝗘𝗢𝗦 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽". The event takes place every three months and is aimed at all new employees, but especially those who work in an international context.
It is therefore particularly important for internationally active employees to obtain information that goes beyond their local companies. This week, for example, the new colleagues were given an overview of the history and structure of the EOS Group, with CEO Marwin Ramcke and other guest speakers from key departments providing a comprehensive understanding of the EOS Group at an international level.
International cooperation is the key to our long-term success. This is why we are proud that EOS has been named “Arbeitgeber der Zukunft” (Employer of the Future) by diind-Deutsches Innovationsinstitut für Nachhaltigkeit und Digitalisierung in cooperation with DUP UNTERNEHMER magazine. 🏆🙌
Many thanks to the participants and to Henrike Ahrens and Laura Oeser for organizing the event. We wish all new colleagues a good start at EOS! 🚀

🚀 WHERE'S EUROPE MEDIATECH AT? MY CONCLUDING THOUGHTS AT MTH 2023! 🚀 The annual MediaTech Hub Conference wrapped yesterday up at the legendary Babelsberg Studios! I’m thrilled to share my experience of closing this remarkable event.
🎙️ In the closing fireside, I had the honor and a daunting tasks of weaving together the key themes and insights unveiled during the conference. We delved deep into the transformative opportunities awaiting the European media, tech, and debunking ecosystem, as well as the "market opening" generated by the #digitalmarketsact and the discussions on the future of Creative Europe Media, Horizon Europe, and rest of EU funding.
SOME KEY POINTS
1. Market is fragmented -> but high-quality European content drives audiences and revenues
2. AIAIAAIAIAI -> No wonder what was the most spoken topic of the sessions. The second "consumer act" of #genai has arrived but is far from implementation, industry standardization, and appropriate rights and ethics landscape
3. Audiences have an extraordinary choice (81% of households in Germany on VOD!); how do you get them on board with what you are doing?
4. Its about brands, brands, and brands. No brand, no traction.
5. The Skills conversation needs to start! As someone remarked, digital transformation is a dirty word; we need to value the human infra as much as the tech infra. Where are the next-gen upskilling initiatives?
🌟 A shoutout to the groundbreaking EU-backed projects CRESCINE, STADIEM and MediaNumeric! Their innovation and ability to be examples where public funding backs massive change in the ecosystem are exemplary.
🙌 A world of thanks to the visionary Peter Effenberg, the articulate moderator Kate Bulkley, and the curatorial maestros AC Coppens, Melissa V., and Anna Desponds. And not to forget Felix Briegel the hospitality chief, for transforming the Babelsberg Studios into a welcoming haven for us!

TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK
The absent were wrong. Last week's VOV Lerend Netwerk fair in Gent ICC was a big success.
Next to being a fascinating gathering of Belgium's L&D leaders and innovators looking for new and efficient ways to create engaged and connective workplaces, it was a great cooperation with my ally and colleague Bert van Thilborgh of Futureproved and our dynamic hosts from Hostess-SelectCharlotte Laureys
The #Satisfashion stand and presentation were explored by so many curious and passionate professionals, welcoming this innovative and effective method for personal and professional #branding, #wellbeing and #empowerment.
For it is true, #Dress2Connect goes far beyond the idea that 'clothes make the wo/man'.
It is a scientifically based way to control that split-second impression you have on others can be anticipated and improved by your own #brain, #dynamics and #embodiedappearance.
A simple and fun #holistictool with huge benefits (for everyone who wears clothes in the workplace 😉) : from more self-confidence and productivity, better team - and leadership dynamics to stronger brand identity and social responsibility.
Sounds like something for you too?

Massive congrats to Lakefest for having their most successful year to date. 🏆
So what's their secret, in a year when so many other events are struggling? 🔎
It's simple. Lakefest are among a small group of successful independent festivals moving with the times, taking control of their destiny by embracing new technology and recognising that their most valuable assets are not the annual physical events, but their audiences - which extend far beyond those who physically attend. 🚀
Lakefest's business is not selling tickets, it is monetising a highly targeted, massively valuable audience, all year round. 💰
By being one of the first UK festivals to go fully cashless back in 2018 (years before any of the big, corporate events), Lakefest was able to forge a direct relationship with all of their visitors, identify, reward and utilise the 28% that are 'Super Fans' (who typically spend around £100 more onsite than casual visitors and draw an average of 3 other people to buy tickets). 👏
By using TagMix, Lakefest has been able to tap into the combined audiences of all of its performing artists, increasing its online engaged audience from tens of thousands to tens of millions. 🙌
I've been preaching that tomorrow's leaders will be the ones that embrace this technology and mindset today. Looks like it's time to revise this to 'today's leaders'. ⚡️
Finally my impressions about Marmomac.
It was the first time ever for us in the last 4 years.
We are very happy that finally we can visit this fair, our partners and friends after such a long time.
Now emotions calm down, because after the fair we were very impressed.
So with "cold mind", how we say it, we can analyze our experience.
For the first time it is good to see:
1.Emotional and rational impressions.
Such a big project of organising people and stone in 1 spot. Maybe the 2nd, 3rd and next time I will not be so excited, but this time is definitely a good event. Also next time we will make a booth and will see all "underground stones" about managing the fair. Hope it will be a good experience.
But there is also something that I don't find well, what my "cold mind" says to me, that a lot of booths of stone were separated by countries. Brasil, China, India and etc were totally separated and made like separated huge one booths, with one identica that separates on smaller boxes. But maybe it seems strange only for me. Yes maybe for organising countries it was easier, but, but, but... IMHO When you have all booths mixed, it feels like an interesting trip. What do you see next? - Aaa never mind it's "Country" I don't buy their stone, it's not even interesting and you don't visit all this corner of Hall or even whole Hall. So sometimes exhibitors are deprived of their visitors. Is it good? - Let's see what other people also comment on this. Also one identica hmm... It's beautiful to see the "fantasy" of your own both, not the same as your neighbor one.
2. Client's feedback.
Most of our contact goes through emails, Whats App messages or Calls. Yes it's good to have even that feedback. But at the fair you have time to feel people, how they stay or sit, how they move, body reaction, emotional reaction, etc. So one word "to see client/partner" in real life. It gives you advantages for understanding real feedback. And of course to make your business relation more stronger.
Also there were 2 cases at the fair, when people just stopped us and said: "Hey! Are you that guys from Ukraine that make cool content?". Honestly to say - it's really the coolest feedback. So after these meetings I hope we become partners in the stone business. Social media helps to make the world faster, open and nearby.
3. Time.
We were 3 days at Marmomac and in conclusion it was not enough for us.
We had some people that we couldn't reach to meet, because every hour was booked in every day.So next time it's better to have all 4 days to go through all Halls and meet with all the people that you want.
It will be also good that you share your impressions here shortly.
Just what you like most and what is not yours.
Waiting for your comments.

The Future of #TradeShow#Exhibitions in a Digital World: "It wasn’t until the digital revolution that old-school exhibitions were given a modern upgrade, with the arrival of tech changing the game for good. But these days, the question is: how are our beloved trade shows going to fare in the future, and is there a place for them in a world that’s increasingly virtual?" ❓LinkedIn asks "What do you want to talk about?". My answer, "ARTIVAL RE:CONNECT."
📹The video #reconnectwiththemoment you see below was shot and produced in 24 hours by artists-in-residence Julie Smith-Belton and Romain Lliedo
🗓️This time last year we completed the Denmark leg of our amazing Nordic arts and culture festival. Prior to the events in Copenhagen and Bornholm, the festival visited Oslo, Stockholm and Helsinki. Do visit IMMART page over the next few weeks to see pictures and reflections from IMMART and the participants.
There is just so much to talk about that I cannot possibly fit it all into one post, so this for now, this post is going to be some reflections on what I, in my role as project manager and curator of the festival, feel that I did well and what could have gone or been done better.
💥Contacting Noreena Hertz to ask if she had worked with any artists on the themes of her book "The Lonely Century. A Call to Reconnect" that I had recently read was the first very good move. I was so fortunate that Noreena was extremely warm and receptive to the idea of not only her book being the inspiration for the festival, but also to come to Copenhagen and participate in the events as well. Noreena also provided me with incredible moral support and valuable professional advice that I carry with me today.
💥It is important to work with partners who understand and not only embrace but also incorporate and execute the goals of the project. Verbal contracts are not enough to hold people accountable and having written contracts is essential.
💥Having a narrow focus makes for more coherency and a smoother ride. I found it challenging to fulfill the demands of funding bodies and create a diverse program and in Copenhagen as much as we enjoyed every single happening, the program ended up being a little too broad.
💥The most well attended events/interactions were those where the partners were highly invested in the success of the event too and thus made a strong efforts to bring their own audiences along and/or give #artivalreconnect the due attention and respect. This is important for a small organisation like IMMART that has something of a niche audience. This point goes hand-in-hand with the note on written contracts, to some extent.
💥Connecting people is good! I made very strong efforts to give people involved the opportunity to meet one another outside of the events they were organising. With the generous assistance of the team from Make it DRIVE we held a couple of virtual speed-dating events that were a huge success - I can highly recommend it!
💥I need to be better at delegating! It is a weak spot of mine, and while I did attempt to do this as during ARTIVAL, I could have done it more. Luckily I am very good at recognizing my own strengths and weaknesses and continue to work on this one.
A heartfelt thank you to all of the partners and collaborators listed in the comments - I hope to see you at #ARTIVAL2025!
