At the #AustraliaPavilion our cultural program will include First Nations performers, giving them the chance to tell these stories to visitors to #expo2025japan. Sounds Australia DFAT

So I was thinking... As I embrace getting "more smarter" with age, I've come to realize that celebrating life is essential, don't you think? And what better way to celebrate than by immersing yourself in the festivals of the city, ah? Anyways, life's too short no to celebrate. And if you start from this May in Kaunas it will not be possible to stop :) So if you are looking for an electrifying way to spice up your season, look no further because Kaunas has got you covered! 💃🎉 Starting from May it's a perfect time to skip work and visit with those living nearby. So, if not on May, then any other time during the summer, Kaunas looks forward to welcoming visitors from neighbouring countries and residents (of course) announcing a summer programme perfect for weekend getaways and celebrations. So why should you make Kaunas your destination for celebration this season? Let me count the ways that sounds interesting to me: - Neighbours day. Calling out to all our Latvian, Estonian, Polish, Lithuanians and other neighboring friends – Kaunas is eagerly awaiting your visit. Let's celebrate together! - Kaunas's Birthday (a Medieval city with a DJ spinning your favorite tunes :) ) - Musical festivals (including an electronic music extravaganza and the iconic 100-year-old song fest). - Ed Sheeran coming (got your ticket yet? there are only a few left for the second concert on August 4th). - Sting with my Song tour is also on my plans :) And much moooore: I leave the article prepared by Kaunas IN about celebrations in a comment and let's meet up in any concert, festival or picnic and be smart to feast life. Contact me if you decide to come, or need some more info. #destinationforcelebration #kaunas #kaunastic #celebrate

The Estonian song festival, Laulupidu, has taken place every five years for over 150 years. It is one of the largest choral events in the world and involves almost all of Estonia. The festival embraces the power of singing, which has become a national symbol for Estonia, especially in the most troubling of times. Helping company and division leaders who struggle with persistent underperformance to optimize operations for sustained growth or sale of their business, without crazy stress and disruption.
What can you learn from a cab driver? As many cab passengers know, there are many Ethiopians driving cabs in the U.S. Recently a driver was playing jazz and I asked if he picked up the habit here in the U.S. "No. I started with Ethiopian jazz?" Yes, there is such a thing. Searched it and on Youtube found a great story you just cannot make up. As most know, Armenians suffered genocide in WWI creating a global dispersed diaspora of survivors. Armenia was big on brass bands and a group moved to Ethiopia bringing music, culture, cuisine and other ideas. During the early part of the 20th century (1930's) Ethiopia began experiencing a cultural renaissance, and jazz became a prominent part of its musical landscape. Ethiopian jazz, characterized by its unique blend of traditional rhythms with modern influences, gained international recognition. Some musicians headed to London and then New York before and during WWII and after. Cities like New York, with its rich jazz history, benefits from influence of various diaspora communities, including Armenians and Ethiopians. The jazz genre embraces diverse influences, and musicians from different cultural backgrounds contributing to the evolving soundscape. The global nature of diaspora communities means cultural elements, including music, travel across borders. This open connectivity can lead to new vibrant and fun relationships. I see this as the resilience of humanity and something we can all aspire and embrace. #humanity #jazz #music #love #peace

Business Development, Partnerships & Project Management | Driving Growth & Building Strategic Alliances
It's moments like these that make me extremely proud of working for The Tribe Group and Al Multaqa. The past few months have presented significant challenges for AlMultaqa and Tribe, especially with the unforeseen conflict in Sudan occurring just a few hours after hosting our largest event there (& 2 days after hosting our series of events). This unexpected turn of events disrupted our annual plans (at group level and business level), which also resulted in the largest Afro-Arab Harmonic Orchestra scattered around the globe. However, in a remarkably short span of time, and despite all the bottlenecks we continue to face, AlMultaqa has been dedicated to the task of revitalization, reestablishment, and resilience. Thanks to the commitment of our entire team and the full support received from The Africa Institute, we have managed to overcome these challenges. The below video is just one milestone among many yet to come, and I am personally proud of every individual who contributed to this achievement. Being part of such a dedicated team fills me with joy. I would also like to extend our appreciation to the team at Tribe, who have worked tirelessly day and night to ensure our communications and videos are prepared, the atmosphere is set, and our operations are up and running (I would list them, but the list is too long). This experience reaffirms the value of hard work, the strength of teamwork and power of strategic partnerships. #teamwork #partnerships #culture #creativity
In recent months, AlMultaqa's musical arm, guided by the distinguished Iraqi Oud Player, Composer, and Maestro Ahmad Shamma, has been diligently working on reviving our music ensembles. AlMultaqa's musical essence is rooted in the fusion of #Afro #Arab cultures, elegantly expressed through a harmonious blend of #Arabian and #African instruments. Listeners will be transported to a world where African instruments invoke Arabian melodies, and conversely, Arabian instruments invoke African rhythms. This harmonious interplay of sounds serves as a compelling testament to the power of cultural diplomacy and exchange. Today, we are delighted to offer you a glimpse of the Music Chamber Orchestra, providing a taste of our unique style. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Sponsoring Partner, The Africa Institute, for their invaluable support, without which this endeavor would not have been possible. We also extend our gratitude for The Tribe Group as our creative partner, for capturing these milestones. #culture
