The #NYSE has proposed a rule granting it discretionary authority to delist companies that change their primary business focus to a “substantially different” area of business, with delisting actions to be undertaken following a qualitative assessment of a company’s suitability for continued listing. Cboe Global Markets, Inc. officially has become the THIRD major U.S. securities exchange, aiming to challenge #NYSE and #Nasdaq with Global Listing Exchange Initiative.   In June 2023, Cboe Global Markets, Inc. (Cboe: CBOE) launched the first-of-its-kind global listing network, leveraging its existing network of stock exchanges in five markets around the world to facilitate worldwide access to capital and secondary liquidity for companies and ETFs. Companies are now able to go public on CBOE’S U.S. exchange, and as part of CBOE’s global listing vision, U.S. listed stock can be made available for trading in the Netherlands and UK, with Australia to soon follow.
