Pulse Mobile is more than just a mobile alarm receiving tool, and while it provides that functionality it is very much a communication tool allowing staff to be more responsive and more efficient. The use of workflow on a mobile device as well as two-way voice communication enables busy staff to carry out their duties on the move, rather than having to return to a nurse station to be able to manage the care they provide.

Mobile devices have been used to receive alarms from Nurse Call systems for some time, and this is a very beneficial feature. Austco’s latest Annunciator Displays have customisable home screens to show useful information while there are no alarms to display. In this case, they are being used to show the area of the Hospital the display is located in, and in busy hospitals with many corridors looking similar, it helps to have extra information displayed.
