I had a fantastic opportunity to attend at the Founders talk event, part of the incubation program, with Arman Bayev , NURIS graduate and founder of the largest real estate crowdfunding platform in Central Asia. Here I would like to write some insights I got: As you prepare to pitch your project to potential investors, remember the power of simplicity and clarity. It's crucial to communicate your achievements clearly and demonstrate what you have already accomplished. When investors can see your results, they naturally become more interested in your project. But here's a twist — instead of solely focusing on attracting investments, concentrate on generating sales, especially during the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) stage. Why? Because early sales not only validate your business model but also attract more confident and serious investment. Always aim to move forward by focusing on tangible results and robust sales strategies. This approach not only boosts your credibility but also significantly enhances your appeal to both investors and customers alike. Thank you, Arman, for sharing three hours of valuable recommendations, life hacks, and insights! #FoundersTalk #Startups #Networking #entrepreneurship #StartupStrategy #Market #Project

We look forward to being part of START Global 2024 on 21 and 22 March! 💙 But what do we expect from this event❔ Our co-founder and CEO Lukas Stickroth explains: "At the Global Summit, we have the great opportunity to engage in personal dialogue with potential investors and convey a lasting impression of us and our idea. Because in addition to the feasibility of the product idea, the "founding team" factor also plays a decisive role in investment decisions." 🚀 #START24 #Startup #Founder #STARTSummit #entrepreneurship

Founders, your pitch is not just about your business. Investors want to get to know YOU! 👥 👉 Recently, I heard a VC investor admit that they declined to invest in a founder simply because they didn't like them or find them genuine. 😮 The other investors in the conversion agreed that you should not invest in a founder if you don’t trust them. Remember, it's not just about your pitch deck! The delivery of your pitch and your ability to engage with investors matter just as much, if not more. 🎙️ 🌟 So, make sure to be genuine and establish that personal connection with your potential investors! #Pitching #Startups #Entrepreneurship #pitchdeck #investorpitch

The odds of winning the lottery is 1 in 33,294,800... According to a study by the University of New Hampshire, the average return for angels investing in startups is around 27% Not all startups are successful and angel investors do taken on a certain amount of risk. There's no guarantee you'll see a return on your investment. The potential upside here is getting in on the ground floor of a future-IPO company or a company that gets acquired. #interestingfacts #angelinvesting #realities #entrepreneurship #groundfloor #founder #smallbusinessowner #disrupt #newinnovations

We often get asked, what kind of deals do your investors get involved in? Angel investors look to get involved in equity deals, this means in exchange for their capital a company is giving up a portion of ownership. To make a return, the shares of the company become more valuable over time and ultimately either get bought out (via acquisition) or the company goes public (getting listed on a stock exchange like the the Nasdaq). The amount of equity angel investors expect to get ranges from 10-25% depending on a variety of factors such as the amount of traction the company has garnered to-date, the type of industry, the nature of the business etc. #themoreyouknow #equity #definition #startupdefinition #privateequity #startups #founder #entrepreneurship #entrepreneur #founderlife #Startuplife

Design your pitch deck with the investor in mind. It sounds simple but many startups fail to do this! Just like you would tailor a sales pitch to your customers' needs, your investor deck should be tailored for VCs. Put yourself in your investors’ shoes and communicate what will most resonate with THEM. Hint: showing how your business will generate a 100x return always helps :) #PitchDeck #Entrepreneurship #VC #VentureCapital #startup

I'm excited to be joining the St. Petersburg VC Fast Pitch as a judge on the investor panel. This fantastic event is a golden opportunity for startup founders and entrepreneurs to pitch and network with top venture capitalists, angels, and accredited investors from across the country. Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 23rd in St. Petersburg, Florida. I'm especially looking forward to helping startups explore their financing options. Growth credit (also known as venture debt) can be a game-changer, allowing businesses to grow with less ownership dilution, lower costs, faster closing times, and more favorable terms than pure equity financing. 🐊 And a special shoutout to my fellow University of Florida Gators who are joining! I can't wait to connect with you all and support your entrepreneurial journeys. 👉 It's not too late to register at: https://lnkd.in/eqw8SNrz 💫 Presented by Scott Kelly and Black Dog Venture Partners 👍 Find this helpful? Give it a like! 🎤 Have you pitched before? Share your experiences in the comments. ♻️ Think this could help someone? A Guide on Can You Make a Bad Deal Better? Negotiated a bad deal? Don't despair! Here are some ways to fix it: - Wait for another funding round. The new investors may be willing to help you renegotiate with your current investors. - Talk to your current investors after some time has passed. They may be more willing to modify the deal if they've seen you have success. - Wait until the company is acquired. This may give you more leverage to negotiate a better deal for yourself. Remember to be fair and open with your investors, and focus on what's best for all shareholders. Good luck! #startups #entrepreneurship #venturecapital #investing #caovaisshah
