Last Friday, New York took a big step to protect our kids by passing a new law that would ban social media platforms from using recommendation algorithms it defines as addictive. This means that instead of being fed endless videos and posts designed to keep them glued to their screens, our kids will see content in the order it was posted. Aura just wrapped our inaugural Digital Parenthood Summit in NYC focused on helping parents raise the connected generation. It's clear that youth mental health issues are on the rise and a big part of the problem is driven by kids getting sucked into their devices more than ever. The SAFE for Kids Act is a major win for all of us trying to create a healthier online world for our children. By focusing on their well-being and setting some ground rules for social media, we're taking important steps to support our kids as they grow up in this digital age.
