It's that time as the founder of a business selling products or services that you've spent months building up to and anticipating, and then slowly start to dread as the day approaches and doubts start to creep in. Is there really interest in our products? Does the market want or need this business? Is everyone fed up of my LinkedIn ramblings?
I started the business at the end of September last year and went public on LinkedIn in December when I created the Gamma Proteins company page and promised to share our journey from beginnings to launch. I've shared my vision for the company, the challenges of working with web developers, complaints about box manufacturers, my view on the recombinant protein market, the frustrations of setting up a distribution network and more. I hope this has been insightful, amusing or useful in some way but to some extent it's now over to the biotech community to decide if what we have produced is up to scratch. We plan to launch the biotinylated versions of these proteins soon and after that I have plenty of ideas on how to develop the business and product offering further but that very much depends on the success of these first proteins! I haven't sought to raise angel or VC money to get Gamma Proteins off the ground. For now I'm bootstrapping but that doesn't mean Gamma Proteins can't go on to bigger and better things if the offering we have fits with what antibody scientists need!

Product and website launch!
After much hard work our first set of products are ready to go. All human Fc gamma proteins and FcRn are now available to purchase through our trusted distributors. All proteins are of very high purity and SPR-verified. In line with this we are also announcing our newly built website: www.gammaproteins.com. Take a look and let us know what you think. We hope you find it easy to navigate to find the particular products and relevant information you need. The website is geo-responsive and so should automatically direct you to the relevant distributor in your region to purchase any products.
Biotinylated versions of these proteins will launch soon. Keep an eye out for an announcement in a few weeks.
