We are thrilled to be recognized by Diageo and specifically, Crown Royal, with the Spirit of Progress Award for our efforts in diversity, equity and inclusion as well as sustainability. The recognition also highlighted our annual Crowning Courage Night, which honors active and retired military members, and our efforts during Black History Month.

On April 18th, together with State Farm, we unveiled the completely refurbished Dominique Wilkins Court at the Good Neighbor Gym at the Andrew and Walter Young Family YMCA in Southwest Atlanta. It will mark an extra special occasion as the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm’s 10th Good Neighbor Club reveal and court makeover. The Andrew and Walter Young Family YMCA has been an important figure in Atlanta as a home for local high school kids, a center for voting, and a home for community impact. This unveiling celebrated the YMCA’s role in greater Atlanta and the story of these men who helped shape this community.

As part of our commitment to our community, we partnered with The HEINEKEN Company to clean up Sam T. Roberts Memorial Park last Friday. Hawks, State Farm Arena and Heineken team members volunteered their time to help achieve a cleaner and more environmentally conscious Atlanta community. Shout out to Grindhouse Killer Burgers for providing lunch for the volunteers!
