🌈 Happy International Pride Day! David Hall, our SVP of Colocation has shared a heartfelt letter with the AtlasEdge team, reflecting on the importance of inclusion, diversity, and acceptance in our workplace - and we are excited to share his inspiring message with you! Team,   I wanted to take a moment to wish you all a happy International Pride Day and to share a personal note on what Pride means to me.   At this time of year, as many of you will have noticed, rainbows start to appear in our towns and cities, on websites, LinkedIn pages, and the like—including ours at AtlasEdge. For some, this may be the extent to which Pride will impact you, but for many others this month holds significant importance.   While life for LGBTQ+ individuals has improved over the past 20 years, it’s still illegal in over 50% of the world for two consenting adults to express their love. Even in places like the US, around 180 bills currently seek to limit the rights that have been recently gained. Pride is about celebrating our progress and recognising the work still ahead.   The scale of a global challenge like this can make it seem too daunting, but I’ve found the solution is often to focus on the difference we can make closer to home. I wanted to share an experience at AtlasEdge.   Recently, I was meeting some colleagues for the first time, and I had a discussion with one of them about my experience being accepted in both the industry at large and, more importantly, at AtlasEdge. After our talk, this colleague felt able to share with their close colleagues some aspects of their own story, which they had not previously felt sure they could talk openly about.   I was impressed by the bravery of the person who shared their story and enormously touched by the reaction of those AtlasEdge colleagues who responded with warmth, kindness and understanding. If I was asked to point to one thing that made me proud this Pride month, it was that moment.   As we work together to build Europe’s leading data centre provider, thank you all for making AtlasEdge a safe place where everyone can bring their authentic self to work, knowing that they are among friends, that they matter, and that their lives are important. Ours is a big tent, and anyone who shares our values is welcome.   I’ll leave you with one last thought: Whoever and however you love this Pride month, be proud that you love well and are well-loved in return.   Kind regards,   David   P.S. If this sparks any thoughts or questions, my door is always open. I’m contactable on Teams or by email and I enjoy drinking both coffee and beer (and am always open to having a chat over either!) and if you are reading this on LinkedIn, and AtlasEdge seems like the kind of place you’d like to work – please reach out to me so that I can connect you with our talent team.  #InternationalPrideDay #Pride #PrideDay #Diversity #Inclusion #LoveIsLove #AtlasEdgeDiversity #AtlasEdge

This is wonderful to see. Accepting people for who they are is the minimum we should be striving for. Being good allies is the next step. Keep fighting the good fight.
