HOW 3 MEN WITH LEPROSY CONQUERED A CITY OF WARRIORS I once read an interesting story about 3 lepers. These 3 lepers were outcasts, sent away from home, and left to the cruel fate of being outside the city. There was no tiny ounce of hope for survival for them. But on this particular day, these lepers decided to crawl toward a neighbouring city. And If you've ever seen Viking movies. especially scenes when an army on chariots of horses charge fiercely toward a city then you'll understand what I'm about to describe Just that this time... The loud sound of hooves clashing against the earth wasn't an army approaching... It was these three weak and measly lepers crawling slowly toward the city. and what happened next is the main point of this post. The citizens of the neighbouring city who were mostly men of war from their youth and great warriors speedily fled their city. Leaving behind all their gold, money, fine linen, cattle & Oxen Everything! They left with NOTHING. Why? They thought they were being invaded. So these 3 lepers crawled ignorantly into a city void of people but filled with so much wealth and treasure. Their lives changed in an instant. ✨ Without any kung-fu training. ✨ Without hiring a war strategist. ✨ Without any top connections. But All because the sound of their footsteps appeared as a sound of violent chariots. They were ordinary lepers PERCEIVED to be a violent army. The power of perception! ✨✨ You are not who you think you are, you are who they think you are..but the good thing is you have the power to control this narrative. So what would you rather be PERCIEVED to be? We're in an era of infinite leverage with the Internet where your little efforts can yield maximum results. What will you do to be PERCIEVED as someone of value? Someone worth following.. Someone worth paying. For me: I read books I attend conferences I connect with people And I SHARE what I learn. The last point is the most important. That's how I've built my audience across social media. You can do the same. So share with me.. what have you learnt?

In times of unspeakable horrors befalling human beings, those of us who fight the undeclared war against animals, with its attendant death toll, misery, displacement and bloodshed, are often told to concentrate on “what’s important” and to give our work for animals a rest. The fact is that wars involve animals, as is recognized by the memorials to their involuntary military service, but there’s more than that. Those of us who witness the despair of animals in war and outside it and who work to rescue animals from human oppression and aggression appeal for mercy, understanding, empathy, sympathy, fairness and an end to the prejudices that beget all violence. There may be little we can do as individuals to end wars, but we can certainly, definitely, bring peace to others through personal acts of kindness and consideration. https://lnkd.in/gVPcbraX #war #wartime #rescue #animalrights #animalcare #animalhealth #animalrescue #military #saveanimals #emergency #emergencyresponse #gaza #ukraine #animalemergency #takeaction #kindness #advocate #advocacy #activism #activist #nonprofit #nonprofitorganization #peta

Did you know? A DIY will or trust might not actually safeguard your assets or wishes. 🏡👨👩👧 My blog post this week illustrates this with the story of a mother’s DIY Trust and the messy, unintended consequences of her well-intended effort. Ensure your legacy is left as intended, not a big mess for your family to clean up. 🧹 Read full blog for more! https://lnkd.in/esb2UbtH . . . #EastonLaw #estateplanning #yourlawyerforlife #Arizona #Colorado #legalservices

It is our commonalities, not our differences, that bond us. In early April, I spent a week with nine veterans, in the mountains of Northwestern Montana. Our group was rather small, compared to past groups - 4 of us were hunting, the remaining 5 were support (guides, photographers, etc). Because of this, we got close, quick. Patrol Base Abbate is structured so that members work through guided discussions each evening, in an effort to create new bonds. But by the evening of the first night, we had made bonds and were having discussions that typically weren’t seen until the end of the third day. Many of those discussions were difficult. From women in combat to COVID mandates to disability ratings to PFT scales - if there was a contentious and difficult question to ask, we asked it. But never once did we fight. We never raised our voices. We never stormed out on one another. We heard each other out. We disagreed. And we moved on. Since returning back to our “normal” lives, we’ve stayed in close contact, talking nearly daily, if only to send one another a meme. That is what makes #veterans different. While we may not look the same or worship the same gods or vote for the same individuals, we are one, because we are veterans. And because those commonalities bind us, they will hold us together, regardless of all else that comes our way. 💬 @pbahuntclub on the gram 📸: Joshua Bent // Black Dog Creative Kathy // Kevin // Thomas #optout #hunting #camping #conservation #veteransstrengtheningamerica #onefishtwofish #returntobase

Finding the right funeral director for you.
Huge thanks to @lisaherbert, the driving force behind #thebottomdrawerbook, for engaging in a thought-provoking conversation with Kelly Scott, AFDA National President. Their discussion centered around an incredibly important topic: funerals and empowering families in their choices. Let’s continue these conversations and equip families with the knowledge they need! https://lnkd.in/gmseRi7m
