Women and girls, especially in the Global South, are disproportionately affected by #climatechange, and they are also the people least responsible for environmental damage. Initiatives like the Global Alliance for Green and Gender Action (GAGGA) are pushing for increased resourcing of women-led climate solutions. Within GAGGA, Mama Cash and other women’s funds are developing critical insights into #womensrights and #environmentaljustice in the local contexts where they work. Together, we are building the knowledge base that funders can use to support local, grassroots, gender and climate justice solutions. Best invest in Building Fusion power, space, and maritime propulsion systems and industry, You talk about Nuclear (meaning Fission) and fail to discuss fusion. https://lnkd.in/ge_aeX7M The nuclear fission industry is, ignorant of what's happening around you. Pull your uranium heads out, start adjusting your industry to fusion energy and start preparing to enter the commercially growing fusion energy industry. As it dawns on Earth like the sun. Great Headline Guardian on Nuclear fission. https://lnkd.in/g8sMZtpR Fission is moving towards obsolescence at an accelerated pace, as it is "out of step, out of time, out of place," and merely a temporary industry globally. https://lnkd.in/gbd_mZqk Commercial fusion electrical generation is a promising innovative sustainable and clean energy method. By 2028, Helion is expected to start producing electricity from its first fusion commercial power plant, which will provide electricity to Microsoft. The plant will produce at least 50 MWe after an initial ramp-up period. https://lnkd.in/gY9J3MQY Now see what is happening in the Fusion industry in the world. https://lnkd.in/g9hMBD7a As fission trebles, fuel shortage is increasingly real, https://lnkd.in/gze5rwpr

New report from the COPGendered project 🌍 On 2 and 3 June 2023, the first COPGendered Capacity Building event was organised in Vienna, Austria. At the event, different feminist justice perspectives highlighted the political challenges in addressing the climate crisis, stressing time and again that the climate crisis is a social crisis. The environmental challenges posed by climate change are universal, however, they exacerbate inequality, including gendered inequalities. The report contains summaries of a variety of lectures and exercises led by Anke Schaffartzik, Dr. Patricia Munoz Cabrera, Daniela Paredes Grijalva, Samantha Hargreaves, Kiara Groneweg, Christa Wichterich, Martha Salazar, Claudia Falkinger and Magdalena Bürbaumer. Access the report here: https://buff.ly/4bjPGeQ Project partners: WIDE+ (Women in Development Europe+), GenderCC-Women for Climate Justice e.V. in #Germany, WIDE in #Austria, GADIP Gender and Development in Practice in #Sweden, Kvindernes U-landsudvalg (KULU-Women and Development) in #Denmark, Mundubat in #Spain and CSCD in #Bulgaria
