I am thrilled to announce that I have completed a course on the first pillar of CCPS Risk based Process safety (RBPS) protocol by AIChE - American Institute of Chemical Engineers . This course covered the fundamentals of the RBPS PSM pillar “Commit to process Safety” and its individual topics such as the need and importance of Process safety culture , stakeholder outreach , standard compliance , workforce involvement and Process safety competency. Understanding the various factors via industrial case studies and detailed excerts from the CCPS guideline manuals and recommendations gives us an insight into the intricacies of process safety.

Dear connections, I have recently completed the course “Risk Based Process Safety - Learn From Experience “ by AIChE - American Institute of Chemical Engineers . This course details 4 of the core elements Incident Investigation, Measurement and metrics, Auditing and Management Review and continuous improvement of the Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) Risk Based Process Safety PSM protocol Learn from Experience foundational block .

I am working for some clients creating the basis for the application of Functional Safety in their projects, starting from the development of the Functional Safety Management Plan. As I develop it and reread various parts of the IEC 61511 standard, I always realize how important this document is for life cycle planning. Honestly, it is always very difficult to try to fit the Functional Safety project into the framework of documents that may have already been approved, but I am very happy to see that many companies now make more and more reference to Functional Safety in their planning. We at VTU Group are very careful when carrying out this activity, because we have the experience to be able to understand in advance what difficulties we might encounter during our design... and the FSMP helps us a lot. For this reason, during my speeches I highly emphasize the importance of developing a SIS plan that has the objective of minimizing possible errors during the design of SIS systems (the so-called systematic failures).
