Many of the therapists who engage with us began in a clinical setting but ultimately found their fit in a school environment. Why do families expect pediatric therapy services to be lenient, extremely flexible and casual just because it is related to special education?! Expecting good Attendance, Active Involvement of Guardians and Realistic progress guidelines should be the hallmark of a therapy center. On a parallel track respect for Qualified professionals and Appreciation of their time & effort needs to be the focus for families availing services. Threatening a center with a negative google review cannot fast forward the progress of the child or help you hide behind the casual attitude in paying for a service availed or lack of attendance. 1 star or 5 stars?! “Child first Always” and “Respect Professional Therapy Services” need to become buzzwords! Until then Stars don’t matter, how I get there does (PS Scott)
