Lessons learned as I reflect back on my one year anniversary at Navistar Inc 💡 Goals are good if you want to win once. Systems are best if you want to win repeatedly. Although goals are essential and necessary for clarity and getting us started, they won't solve lingering pain points or bridge gaps. Focusing on developing/improving systems and processes is the secret sauce to long-term success. Ultimately, we don't rise to the level of our goals. We fall to the level of our systems. 💡Don't worry about changing people's mindset. Focus on changing the mechanics within the system and by default it will yield the desired outcomes. This is particularly relevant for #Diversity, #Equity, #Inclusion, and #Belonging initiatives post the Supreme Court's repeal of Affirmative Action. DEI isn't a marketing stunt. DEI isn't a handout, DEI isn't about lowering standards. DEI is about embracing, unifying and leveraging our diversity to perform at the highest levels of creativity and innovation while in a welcoming and inclusive environment where EVERYONE can thrive and be their authentic self. 💡 No one succeeds alone. Giving credit to others doesn't undermine you. It's actually a sign of your confidence and humility. Transitioning from tackling projects to shaping strategic priorities. Navigating farewells can be a challenging endeavor, as bidding adieu is never easy. In my tenure at Team Bruhati, I've garnered invaluable experience that has left an indelible mark on my professional journey. A heartfelt gratitude extends to Gideon Venter, Liam Vermeulen, Jose Cervero Gianni Smarrelli 🇪🇺, and my fellow team members; our collective odyssey has been nothing short of astonishing. I extend my appreciation to our visionary directors who have paved the way for fresh horizons. The triumvirate of directors, namely Manuel Di Toma 🌏, Hrishi Kuchibhotla, and Shey Mistry, stand as the stalwart pillars of Team Bruhati, exemplifying its essence. Particularly, the unwavering dedication of Hrishi Kuchibhotla has left an imprint on my aspirations. I am driven by a desire to contribute meaningfully to our society, a pursuit ignited by his inspiring presence. Reflecting on this chapter, the words of Robert Frost come to mind: "In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on." As I embrace new avenues, I carry with me the tapestry of experiences woven at Team Bruhati. Helen Keller's insight resonates, "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all." Embarking on this new trajectory, I am poised to craft a legacy that echoes positively in the broader canvas of society. In conclusion, bidding adieu is not a severance, but a commencement of uncharted prospects. As I step forward, I recall A.A. Milne's words: "How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard." With a heart full of gratitude and a spirit ready for fresh exploits, I stride ahead, cherishing the lessons and relationships fostered at Bruhati.

This week marks the 5-year anniversary of my joining Russell Reynolds Associates as Head of Research and Operations APAC.   I look back at the past five years with gratitude to the generosity of my team embracing me, not forcing me to be someone, but being me and allowing me to work with them. I am glad I joined this organization, a partnership based on people values, care, honesty, and humility. I am grateful to the RRA partners who allowed me to explore with my team new solutions to build a platform of research for the future, a clear vision with career opportunities I had not seen so consistently in my over 30 years of search experience.   In the five years with RRA I had over 4800 meetings, in person, virtually, small or big crowds, constructive and challenging, joyful and sad. Regardless of the nature of the meetings my brief was clear: "Do inside what we do on the outside for our clients – lead, improve how the world is lead". It is natural for me to build my succession and not worry what will be there for me, I know there will be something great, I have trust and faith in the partnership and I have seen the organization over and over again find the right solution for the client, the business and the RRA people. I have arrived, I thrive in a value and purpose driven organization and it is worth investing my heart and my passion into it, not fearing it will go lost or not be respected and recognized. 5 years have gone by fast, but let us not measure impact in time, let us measure success in value, truth and honesty creation, and that is what I feel I can do here at RRA and that is what I am grateful for.

Last week I celebrated my one year anniversary with Core Talent Pty Ltd and what an amazing first year it has been. As I look back on the past year, transitioning from managing a high volume Temp Desk in Education to now working on a fully Permanent Desk in Construction and Engineering, I'm compelled to highlight the striking differences between these two realms of recruitment... 🌏 🔄 Embracing Change: Transitioning from temp to perm recruitment has been a dynamic shift, filled with new challenges and opportunities. While temp roles provided a fast-paced environment with rapid turnover, moving to permanent has allowed me to delve deeper into relationships, understanding the long-term needs of both clients and candidates alike. 📈 Building Lasting Connections: One of the most rewarding aspects of this transition has been the ability to build long lasting connections. In temp recruitment, the focus was often on quick placements, but now, I have the privilege of truly understanding the goals and aspirations of individuals and matching them with companies where they can thrive long-term. 💼 Strategic Partnering: Shifting to permanent placement has enabled me to become a strategic partner for both clients and candidates. I now have the opportunity to collaborate closely with hiring managers, offering tailored solutions to meet their talent acquisition needs. Simultaneously, I'm able to guide candidates through every step of the hiring process, ensuring a seamless transition into their new roles. 🌱 Personal and Professional Growth: This transition has been a journey of growth, both personally and professionally. It has pushed me out of my comfort zone, allowing me to develop new skills and broaden my understanding of the recruitment landscape.
