Our resource #HDPulse has been selected as one of two honorees from AcademyHealth's 2023 Health Equity DataJam competition. Our submission, entitled "Using HDPulse to Identify, Understand, and Reduce Disparities in Kidney Disease Mortality," provides a video Use Case for users. In this video Use Case, we illustrate how HDPulse's novel features can be used to understand #disparities in health outcomes, while also exploring multi-level #determinants that drive disparities. We even provide a sneak peek of the #Interventions Portal, which is an upcoming feature that provides a database of tested interventions focused on #MinorityHealth and #HealthDisparities. Health Systems Strengthening | Maternal and Newborn Health | Health Migration | SRHR | Public Health
Data is definitely the new gold in public health system. Partnership between private sector and government is key to ensure equity towards maternal and newborn health.
'As we talk about private sector partnerships with the government, we are not talking about something purely transaction or contractual. Private sector organisations hoping to partner with governments should look at this as a long game of co-design and co-ownership - of solutions and data - as, ultimately, government are the stewards of the health system and driving better, more sustainable outcomes for mothers and babies.' Jacaranda's Co-Executive Director Nick Pearson talks private and public sector partnerships, co-designing data tools for equitable decision-making, and the power of digital tools in public health systems at #UNGA78. Thanks to our partners at MSD and Devex for hosting us.

Experience a pioneering discussion this April with Mirah's Lightning Talk, "Unlocking the Power of Teamwork: Bringing Collaboration to Primary Care". In today's healthcare landscape, the growing behavioral health demands have increasingly become a burden on primary care, demonstrating the value of behavioral health integration. Translating this vision into reality, however, demands more than traditional methods. Join Mirah as they unpack the future of behavioral health integration, exploring the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM) and how it bridges the gap between data and action. Here’s what you’ll learn: 💡How technology can empower informed decision-making, driving improved patient engagement and measurable outcomes. 🤝 Strategies for fostering seamless teamwork between primary care providers, patients, and community stakeholders, resulting in a supportive and empowering environment. The use of technology to promote equity or "#Techquity" is a hot topic at #vive2024 and something I love working on at Phreesia. Dr. Kyu Rhee shared that, "Data collection is core to improving disparities" during a panel on the importance of engaging community health centers in innovation. Check out the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) to learn how to partner with these essential cogs in the healthcare system.

Just finished a great HealthXL event in sunny Gothenburg! Some quick points to note: 1) Studies like CRESCENDO in COPD are now showing how data collected from patient-reported outcomes and digital biomarkers can a) get the right treatments to patients faster, b) use technology to drive patient-centred decentralisation, and c) create a close link between routinely used healthcare data and clinical study data 🔗 2) Digital Medicine Society (DiMe) research suggests that an impressive 115 sponsors have already used new data collection routes such as sleep sensors, home spirometers, smartphone apps, personal activity monitors and ingestible sensors for primary and secondary endpoints in 400 clinical studies 🤳 3) This shows the very real opportunity to finally scale up more complete longitudinal health profiles by accessing health- and activity-related data stretching way beyond clinical records and linking that data, with appropriate privacy protection, across all those sources to better understand and support human health across all of our research, planning and care! 🚀 Some really high quality discussions with smart and fun people, including all those listed below - thank you AstraZeneca Tim Ruckh, Matthew Bonam and the wider team... and of course HealthXL Chandana Fitzgerald, Tessy Huss and Suzanne Carroll. Michelle van Velthoven, Anna Kündig, Axel Heitmueller, Krishna Moorthy, Matt Norton, Manuel Römer, PhD, Mats Berggren, Tor Hammar, Ivan Jurisic, Denny Royal, MS, BPro, Tahir Hussain, Simon Bock, Klaudia Eriksson Philipp, Maria Bergquist, Sammeli Liikkanen #clinicalresearch #clinicaldata #digitalbiomarkers
And that's a wrap! Thank you to our speakers and everyone in the HealthXL community who made today a great success! We can't fit all the amazing insights into one post so we'll be releasing a post-event report next week. Our next global gathering is in Princeton on the 16th of November and it's nearly full!
