PAI's Head of ESG & Sustainability, Esohe Denise Odaro, spoke to PEI's New Private Markets for their annual Agenda 2024 Outlook series. The conversation touched on PAI's top #sustainability priorities, portfolio decarbonisation, #ESG data frameworks, supply chain risk, biodiversity and diversity & inclusion. "In 2024, we aim to enhance our plan of action for our three sustainability priorities: decarbonisation, diversity and inclusion, and biodiversity. Our goal is to align our strategies with the changing regulatory, market and macro developments and to build on the progress made last year at both the GP and portfolio levels, such as the roll-out of our Internal Carbon Price, operating the industry's first portfolio-wide women's network and collaborating with the wider industry on important thought leadership, such as BLOOM, a practical guide for integrating biodiversity in private equity." The best for last: Bayer has won the ESG Transparency Award 2023 of EUPD Research ESG! We are really happy that our massive engagement for both – ESG and transparency – has been recognized and that the Bayer Sustainability Report is considered as a best-in-class standard.   This is not a one-time or even a one-year enterprise – it is testimony for a long-term mindset shift in the organization which of is carried, pushed and moved forward certainly by a number of colleagues. While celebrating them all, three of them stand out for their leadership, laying the rock solid foundation for our entire sustainability strategy with their work on ESG reporting & ratings: Sebastian J. Leins, Gudrun Schumann and Katja Schulz. Congratulations to you and all colleagues involved!!   We believe that ESG means to translate a sustainable business strategy into an investable, trustable framework. The foundation for trust is rigorous transparency and disclosure. Hiding is no option if we want to make progress together, across stakeholder and interest groups, to fix the urgent problems on our planet. Clario is proud to share our 2023 ESG report, which covers the 2022 calendar year. We’ve made significant progress since releasing our inaugural report in 2021 and remain laser-focused on doing our part to create an equitable and sustainable future. Highlights from the report include:  • Advancing workplace equity: 20% of Clario employees at the Director level or above come from underrepresented groups.
