ALFA LAVAL HITS ORDER MILESTONE FOR ITS METHANOL FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM Alfa Laval says it has received over 100 orders for its low-flashpoint fuel supply system (LFSS) FCM Methanol. MAN ES INTRODUCING SMALL-BORE FOUR-STROKE GENSET FOR METHANOL OPERATION Responding to the growing interest for operating ships on green methanol, MAN ES recently announced the L21/31DF-M GenSet. In a Market Update Note issued last month, MAN ES said that the foundation for the new L21/31DF-M GenSet is the current L21/31 GenSet, which has accumulated more than 55 million operating hours, with thousands of engines in service. According to MAN ES: ‘The possibility to operate GenSets on green methanol as a drop-in fuel increases the fuel-flexibility of the new engine and the potential of methanol as an option for GenSet power generation for large marine merchant vessels.
