October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, PicnicHealth stands in solidarity with all those affected by breast cancer and continues to support the cause of early detection, prevention, and research. Existing breast cancer datasets focus only on the care provided within the oncology specialist setting, limiting the view of the patient's experience before and in the early days of their cancer diagnosis and treatment and through their entire cancer journey. PicnicHealth’s approach to real-world data places patients at the center, ensuring the most complete, longitudinal datasets for early breast cancer while empowering patients with visibility into their entire health history. Together, we can make a difference and bring us closer to a world without breast cancer. Breast cancer affects countless lives, and October is a time to raise awareness, show support, and celebrate the ongoing scientific breakthroughs that hold the promise of more effective treatments. At Discovery Life Sciences, we're committed to supporting breast cancer research that can make a real impact on patients’ lives. For example, our Biomarker Services team supported researchers from the City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center in their Phase 1 clinical trial for patients with metastatic triple-negative breast cancer. The results show that the use of the immune checkpoint inhibitor pembrolizumab and the chemotherapy agent doxorubicin resulted in a positive response rate and boosted T cell responses in patients. https://lnkd.in/gEq5u8RQ We’re proud to contribute to the advancements of the scientific community to improve treatment for those affected by breast cancer. #BreastCancerAwareness #PinkOctober #EndBreastCancer

Check out this informative piece on triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC.) "About 20% of people with breast cancer have a type called triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) ... but it can be harder to treat because some common cancer treatments, like anti-hormone and anti-HER2, don't work with TNBC." At Carcinotech we have developed 3D-printed micro-tumours for both triple-negative, HER2 and Luminal A subtypes for breast cancer. Our technology offers surgeons and oncologists the opportunity to test treatment options, drug responses, and create treatment plans for each individual patient. Improving the chance of survival and quality of life of patients. Let's continue to work to bring more effective cancer therapies to market. #oncology #breastcancer #clinicalresearch
