Who’s on your New Years Honours list? I must admit I never pay too much attention to this, year on year, but this time around (maybe due to latest contention around who’s on the list) something resonated with me. I decided to draft my own list New Years Honours list of people that I would like to honour (or acknowledge) in some way as they have supported me in a variety of different ways during the past year. I also learned this year that the WHO can be as important to what we achieve as the WHAT, the WHY and the HOW. And boy can this make a huge difference in terms of the journey and the ease and enjoyment of getting there. So, I started listing people down and before I knew it, I was almost up to 20. With little additional effort I made it to 23, which seemed apt for 2023 😀 I will be making contact with each of them this week, individually or collectively as appropriate, to let them know how special they are to me. I’m not sure we take the time to do this often enough – or maybe it’s just me - and it’s one of my intentions to do this even more in 2024. Enough about my 2024 intentions for now, more to follow another day on that one 🙂 Happy New Year in the meantime 🥂 #personaldevelopment #motivation #careers

🚀 Results-Oriented Leader | Expertise in Strategic Projects 📊, Recruitment 🎯, Event Management 🎉, Communication 🗣️, Partnerships 🤝, and Team Leadership 👥
I asked GPT to tell me what a resilient person is, as if explaining to a 5-year-old: Her answer 💁🏽♀️: “A resilient person is like a strong, bouncy ball. When life throws them hard on the ground, they don’t stay down; they bounce back up. They keep trying and don't give up, even when things are tough. They know how to stay calm and happy, and they have friends and family who help them feel better when they’re sad. Just like a superhero who keeps fighting no matter what, a resilient person keeps going and stays strong.” ✨ Today is my 6th work anniversary at oreegami! ✨ I have to admit that this is the first time I’ve stayed this long in the same company… My record before was 2 years 😅. 6 years of hard work, ups and downs, crises, learning experiences, laughter, and finding myself surrounded by amazingly talented people 🙏🏽. These years have been all about testing, improving, developing, and learning about myself. To commemorate all that, last Thursday I received (with Yann GABAY) the Resilient Award 🏆 during the oreegami annual party. Resilience is not a skill that you’re born with. Life makes you develop it through the experiences you encounter. On top of that, it's easy to be resilient when you believe in what you are doing and see the results of your hard work. As an example, since my return from maternity leave, I’ve been leading the launch of a new program that aims to teach people how to develop essential skills: confidence, agility, analytical thinking, creativity, technological ease, cross-functionality, leadership, and curiosity. Ergo, a mix of skills that are essential for resiliency but moreover to embrace the uncertainty of the future of jobs.🦄 We've been working hard on this project and I am looking forward to seeing the final results in the next couple of months. Stay tuned! 📈🥳😎🤓 To learn more about this program, click on the link👇🏾
