The Science Based Targets initiative (#SBTi) has published its 2022 Monitoring Report. The assessment highlights the growth and impact of the initiative, reporting a sharp rise in companies setting science-based targets in 2022. 87% more organizations had their targets validated in 2022 (1,097), more than the previous seven years combined (1,082). It is positive to see an increase from last year in the number of companies reporting progress against targets, but further progress is needed.
