Just like alcohol, it's crucial to understand the regulations. Having an open container of any form of cannabis in the passenger area of a car is illegal. To ensure compliance and avoid penalties, it's important to store cannabis responsibly. To keep cannabis secure while on the road, it's best to store it in a closed container and place it in your trunk or a locked glove compartment. By doing so, you maintain privacy, protect the well-being of yourself and others, and uphold legal requirements.

Who’s dishing out the most violations? Currently the State of Michigan is issuing roughly anywhere from 60 to 100+ violations a month to operators. Every month they send out a report of the type of violation, the region and the company's name. New Mexico comes in second for most violations being issued at this time. Most of the violations are a result of the market adjusting to being regulated commercially and having more oversight due to the Adult-Use market launching in the State. New Mexico's enforcement efforts did increase quite significantly in August of 2023. Both Michigan and New Mexico share their violations, administrative hearing documents, settlement agreements and industry exclusion lists on their State operated websites. We've also seen an increased amount of OSHA violations for Cannabis operators in 2023, which will continue to carry over into 2024. #Cannabisbusienss #Duediligence #Enforcementactions #cannabisoperators #compliance #icsconsultingservice
