I need your support. I am looking for new job opportunities and would appreciate your help finding potential roles that align with my experience and skills. Below, I'll outline what I'm looking for and what I'm asking for support with.
EXPERIENCE
With twelve years of experience in higher education and community advocacy, I have a strong background in strategic planning, data-driven decision-making, and fostering access, inclusion, and diversity. I am currently a doctoral student studying social inequality, primarily focusing on critical gender and queer perspectives to challenge patriarchy within organizational settings.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR
I am seeking community-centered, social justice, and equity-minded positions in San Diego or Southern California to complete my doctoral studies on campus this fall at the University of San Diego. I am also open to remote opportunities or roles that offer flexibility until January 2025 when I can more easily relocate.
I am open to government/public sector roles and for-profit or corporate environments. My interests include equity and inclusion program manager, organizational researcher, community engagement director, and strategic initiatives coordinator.
I am particularly interested in roles focused on economic justice and providing economic mobility for marginalized and minoritized communities. This aligns with my passion for the education sector's capacity for workforce development and creating financial and academic opportunities for all.
MY STRENGTHS
My greatest strengths are my relational, communication, and team-oriented skills. While I have many proficiencies in project management, strategic planning, and data analysis, teams needing someone skilled in communication, long-term planning, community involvement, and conflict resolution would benefit the most from me.
HOW YOU CAN HELP ME
I would greatly appreciate it if you knew of any openings or could connect me with hiring managers who might benefit from my background.
NOTE ON COMPENSATION
Life is expensive. Please do not forward job postings below $90,000. As a professional community, we should discourage employers from underpaying their workforce and ensure equitable compensation, especially for many of us who have historically been under-compensated for the same work.
