Another architectural masterpiece by SAOTA Architects, designed to redefine elegance and functionality in contemporary living! The client, with a keen eye for contemporary design, requested a house that could be flexible—capable of being rented out partially or in entirety without compromising on style or comfort. The result is a home with strong, clean lines and a layout that ensures every space enjoys spectacular views, whether it’s the sea or the mountain. Set to make the most of the site's unique dimensions and spectacular scenery, this double-storey house integrates seamlessly with its environment, offering panoramic views of Lion's Head and the Twelve Apostles. The design cleverly balances privacy with open, airy spaces. Strategic use of frameless glazing and sandblasted surfaces ensures natural light while maintaining privacy. Living areas extend into outdoor terraces, making the most of the property's orientation and views. The house is designed with versatility in mind—equally suitable for private living or as a rental property. Key features include: Bedrooms with westward-facing views for spectacular sunsets. → A ground floor with a self-contained staff suite and two bedrooms. → A dramatic, view-enhancing staircase in the main circulation area. Innovative structural elements include a steel-supported roof that extends over the deck, adding a modern touch and enhancing the sense of space.

2×1 results from the combination of two different dwellings that share the intention of making possible a way of life based on enjoyment and wellbeing. The scaling gradation of more compressed and intimate spaces that connect with other larger spaces generates a residential experience articulated through large windows and furniture integrated into the architecture. A loft-like layout allows for guest flats to be included in each of the houses. The multiple terraces allow privacy by protecting them from the view from the outside, but are visually connected with the interior spaces. They are organised in various heights, including the glass-sided swimming pools that allow a view of the water and the action of the submerged bodies. The duplicity of the indoor and outdoor lounges is visually connected through the large glass panels, increasing the feeling of spaciousness and the enjoyment of the views of the city that are integrated into the main spaces. The spacious diwaniya allows families to gather with their friends while the unique experience of visiting the dressing room showroom in one of the homes is a unique experience.

PROJECT NAME : CAPSULE LOCATION: Kerala,India TOTAL AREA: 3790 sqft TOTAL PLOT AREA: 15.64 cent A residence designed in the curved architectural style features distinctive curved roofs and three capsule-type projections that contribute to its unique and modern aesthetic.The residence is characterised by gracefully curved roofs that undulate and flow, creating a sense of fluidity and dynamism in the overall structure.These curved roofs not only serve an aesthetic purpose but also contribute to the functionality of the design, optimising natural light penetration and ventilation throughout the interior spaces. Conceptual Design: The conceptual design of this project draws inspiration from the shape of a capsule, specifically the two parts connected vertically. This unique and innovative concept is translated into the architecture of the building. Three Capsules: The project is divided into three distinct capsules, each serving a specific function. * The first capsule is dedicated to bedrooms, creating a private and personal space for the inhabitants. * The second capsule houses the living spaces, serving as a central gathering area for social activities. * The third capsule encompasses the stair area, facilitating vertical circulation and connecting the different levels of the structure.

Built in the 1930’s, this landmarked building was converted to retail and creative office and gallery use. The existing windows were replaced with new energy efficient metal windows to match the existing pattern; the brick was repointed and restored and the existing skylights or “monitors” restored to their original beauty. The two new buildings flanking the Landmark building were designed to provide a modern yet contextual backdrop utilizing similar proportions and materiality found in the Landmark building. The new building at 331 N Street NE consists of a U-shaped structure, 130’ tall. It is a double- loaded apartment building, with a 70’ x 115’ internal courtyard, open toward east. The street elevation is glazed and supported by a base consisting of a colonnade cladded in metal, 16’ high, inclusive of the residential lobby and retails.The north and east façades incorporate terraces framed by a grey metal structure, designed to enhance the industrial appearance of the building’s architecture and extruded from the wall of windows. These terraces create modular openings, combined to appear randomly connected to each other, in order to break the building mass into different elements. Hello everyone! I felt that today would be a good day to define some of the different types of home that you will hear mentioned when discussing Real Estate with a Realtor. For those of you that are interested-here are the first 3. 1. Bungalow A bungalow is typically a smaller, one-story home, oftentimes appearing to have balanced proportions with a sloped roof, lots of porch space, and big front windows. Inside, the floor plan is typically more open, with one living and dining space leading to another. The American bungalow was a product of the Arts and Crafts movement, but its popularity is still going strong today.    2. Cape Cod While a Cape Cod-style house certainly has New England beachy appeal, you can find homes with this architectural style all over the country, including both inland and in the South. They will typically have shingle siding and a square- or rectangular-shaped exterior. There are three main Cape Cod styles: the quarter-, half-, three-quarter, and full-Cape Cod. The quarter-Cape Cod features an exterior with a window and one bay window, the half-Cape Cod has a door on one side with two windows on the other, the three-quarter Cape Cod has the front door situated with one window on one side and two on the other, and the full Cape Cod has a central front door with two windows on each side.   3. Colonial-Style Home This architectural style typically features a rectangular- or square-shaped façade and centrally placed front door, oftentimes with side lights. If you prefer a more symmetrical aesthetic, Colonial-style architecture will likely appeal. Steeply pitched roofs and windows with many small panes are two characteristics that add to the classic appeal.

Parkway Residence, as described by Wallpaper* Magazine, "was a response to a client request for an indoor-outdoor lifestyle for their family of five." The design was heavily defined by the particular shape of the lot, a "wedge-shaped plot that shrank the width of the waterfront façade." The solution was to create a layered sequence of spaces defined by programmatic volumes and curated gardens, creating a series of both indoor and outdoor spaces for relaxation, entertaining and exercising.
