IBM continues to build on its extensive software portfolio while bringing together leading capabilities in integration, API management, and data ingestion. I am proud to share that the acquisition of StreamSets and webMethods from Software AG is complete. This acquisition will help our clients turn complexities into competitive advantage. ➕ StreamSets Inc. adds cloud-based, real-time data ingestion capabilities for data to IBM’s AI and data platform, #watsonx. ➕ webMethods brings Integration Platform as a Service (PaaS) capabilities to IBM’s Automation solutions. Great news!👍
Great move, will help us to strengthen in our market positioning in middleware and data space. WebMethods iPaaS solution would help us to compete with Mulesoft etc.
Impressive growth!
IBM sucks, they need to stop sending the work over seas and laying off hard working Americans
Best of luck!
Please measure the new employees from these companies on their merit and skills, and not on their age.
Impressive growth!
Untill a company providing free development facilities for developers like Google colab no will earn trust from development community

2wCongratulations IBM! webMethods is the first integration tool I have worked with in the year 2003 and still remember how concerned I was when it was acquired by software ag around 2007-2008 for mere 550mn$. I was concerned that the originality around it's integration server, especially webMethods Broker would be lost due to the acquisition and overlapping product portfolio. webMethods did give a tough fight to then BEA Weblogic (later got acquired by Oracle). I still love the way how ESB was developed with the document based subscription on webMethods Broker with its "territories" (documents are shared across brokers in territories - it's comparable to distributed Kafka brokers and topics today..but was a concept in webMethods in 2004!!)and "Gateways". They had some of the finest product documentations. Meticulously written. No doubt webMethods is still relevant in the middleware segment after 21 years!! Hope IBM preserves the originality of the suite of products under webMethods (I still have my heebijeebies thinking about the overlap with Websphere suite of products if any exists these days)😄
