I just completed Accenture UK's Introduction to Technology Apprenticeship on @[Forage](urn:li:organization:68514998). In the simulation I: * Engaged in a dynamic dialogue as a technology apprentice at Accenture, exploring the attributes of successful technology apprentices, the versatile applications of technology across industries, and cutting-edge technology streams in collaboration with a senior counterpart. * Demonstrated active participation through the completion of targeted multiple-choice questions, reinforcing practical comprehension of key themes discussed during the apprentice dialogue. This interactive approach enhanced the depth of understanding. * Applied problem-solving skills by delving into a client case study and identifying shortcomings in existing processes that hindered effective business operations.  * Conducted a detailed analysis and advocated for the adoption of cloud computing as the optimal technology solution to address the identified challenges. * Showcased practical expertise by preparing and presenting a compelling slide deck to senior management at Accenture. 18 year old me, fresh out of high school, had no idea where she was headed with her career. I tossed up between law, economics, even acting but nothing quite sat right… I took a gap year to think, travel and pursue my passions. I then decided to move to a new city and explore living independently, Being brought up in a strong working culture that the world of medicine culminates, I always had an affluent love for health and medicine. I enrolled into the Bachelor of Health & Medical Sciences (Adv) at the University of Adelaide and met some inspiring fellow students and professors along the way that helped me carve out a path for myself. This simulation provided an invaluable experience where I engaged deeply with technology’s role in business transformation. Here’s what I accomplished: 🔹 Dynamic Dialogue: Participated as a technology apprentice, exploring the traits of successful apprentices, the diverse applications of technology across industries, and emerging tech trends in collaboration with a senior counterpart. 🔹 Interactive Learning: Enhanced my understanding by answering targeted multiple-choice questions related to the apprentice dialogue, reinforcing practical knowledge of the key themes discussed. 🔹 Problem-Solving: Tackled a client case study to identify gaps in current processes that affected business operations. Through critical analysis, I recommended cloud computing as the optimal solution. 🔹 Practical Application: Prepared and delivered a persuasive presentation to senior management at Accenture, highlighting the benefits and implementation strategy of the proposed cloud computing solution. A Story of Growth: My Journey from Intern to Executive Back in uni, in 2022, as I stepped out of the examination hall after completing my final exam, I felt a mix of excitement and anxiety. Like many fresh graduates, I was eager to start my professional journey, determined that nothing was going to get in my way, no obstacle, not even fear or uncertainty. Fast forward to 3 months later, I was welcomed back to GLG Communications , a renowned Nigerian PR firm, as a graduate intern. I embraced the role with gratitude, immersing myself in PR's intricacies, absorbing knowledge, honing my skills, and contributing to the team. Despite challenges like imposter syndrome and the realization that school doesn't fully prepare you for real-life application, I remained determined to learn and excel. I seamlessly transitioned into the role of Communications Associate, evolving with each project and client interaction, taking on greater responsibilities, and embracing new challenges. After a year of hard work and dedication, I faced a new hurdle: the "clarion call" of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program. Instead of seeing it as a hindrance, I viewed it as an opportunity to develop my skillset and expand my professional network. With the support of my boss and colleagues, I balanced my work and NYSC obligations with grace and determination. I am elated to share that today, I stand proud as a Communications Executive at GLG Communications, a testament to perseverance, dedication, and the grace of God. In just two short years, I have journeyed from intern to executive, overcoming obstacles and seizing every opportunity along the way. To my LinkedIn family, I invite you to celebrate this milestone with me. With God as my solid backing, my journey serves as a testament that having passion, resilience, and a supportive community, any dream is attainable.
