Art strengthens the message. One of 🇦🇺 leading artists of the 20th century Sidney Nolan said this about the painting. I just could add that it is the same with every art. Art is communication because it always carry a message: love, protest and many others. Yes it is pure as artist is purely concentrating on the work, wants it to be strong. It is difficult because in majority of cases it accepts no compromises. And it is wonderful because it touches the feelings, brains, you start to think. Every public relations professional seeks for a change. The change is done through communication. If your change can inspire artists for songs, paintings, sculptures, movies or plays, it is a strong probability you'll reach the results. #kokor #transformingpr

Consuming vs. Creating We consume so much information all the time. And we get very less opportunities to bring out the stuff inside us. When you want to express, art is the easiest way of letting it out. Be it as a painting or music or poetry. Choose your art. Choose your way of expressing. #art #workinprogress

Seen here is the 1991 painting "Ukupupuka pa lusengo (To Fly on a Tusk/horn)" by Livingstone-based artist Chishimba Chansa, 67. In a 2017 interview, Chansa stated: "Personally, I do not agree that flight is a western invention, maybe if you said that flying during daytime enclosed in a metal container was started by them. Africans had already been flying in open air from one place to another, without being seen." With this statement, Chansa is declaring that so called indigenous knowledge should not be immediately relegated as something evil, backward or archaic, but should take pride of place in modern times. Look out for the story in The Mast Newspaper (Zambia). This article was adapted from the author’s PhD thesis “Kuntanshi yamikalile (The Future): speculative nonconformity in the works of Zambian visual artists”, Chapter 3 – “Confronting the antinomies of contemporaneity: Challenging myths about Africa’s past present and future” (Rhodes University 2020). see: https://lnkd.in/dNVRtBnN

The Interconnected World of Arts: "You cannot Learn Architecture without Sculpting, You should know Sculpture, You cannot learn Sculpting without Dance, You cannot learn Dance without Music, You cannot Learn Music without Poetry, You can learn Poetry without living a life, without Observation and Your own Interpretation." Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending a Masterclass by Ar. Yatin Pandya on "Decoding the Design Process," and I left with a profound lesson that I believe applies not only to architects but to all of us who appreciate the beauty of the arts. The above thought-provoking statement beautifully illustrates the interconnectedness of various art forms. It implies that to truly understand one art form, we should delve into the others. There's compelling evidence to support this idea. Many renowned architects have sculpting backgrounds, and sculptors often have dance in their repertoire. It suggests a shared understanding of form, space, and movement that transcends individual disciplines. However, it's crucial to acknowledge that each art form is unique, with its own strengths and nuances. Mastery in one doesn't guarantee expertise in another. So, how can we truly embrace the world of arts? By experiencing them firsthand. Visit museums, attend live performances, lose yourself in the rhythm of music, and let the poetry of life unfold before you. The more you immerse yourself in these experiences, the deeper your appreciation for the interconnectedness of the arts will become. #ArtisticJourney #InterconnectedArts #CreativityUnleashed #architect #architecturaldesign #architecturaldesign

What is a Medium in Art | Seed Gallery A medium refers to the materials or art supplies used to create a work of art. Fundamentally, medium is whatever an artist uses to make a mark upon his surface. It is the mode, method, style and means of expression employed by the artist to create his work. Be it a drawing, a sculpture, painting, literature, or music, the mode the artist tactfully uses is referred to as the medium. When an artist chooses a mode of expression to create his or her work, his skillful, creative and ingenious employment of medium is what allows him to convey his ideas, communicate his concepts, convey his emotions, deliver his convictions, birth his vision and liberate his feelings. The medium is the mediator. It translates and transports the artist’s precepts, didactic teachings, intuitions and purposes from his mind to his chosen surface. The Seed Gallery Art History and Economics Glossary contains a resourceful inventory of key terms, phrases, and relevant vocabulary associated with art and design history, movements, contemporary art market economics and design concepts. Meeting of Prince and Poet Title: Meeting of a Prince and Poet Date: mid-16th century Geography: Attributed to Iran, Tabriz Medium: Ink, opaque watercolor, silver, and gold on paper The MET collection “This unfinished work depicts the meeting of a noble young horseman and an older man on foot. Although no rulings for text blocks appear on the page, it may well have been conceived as a manuscript illustration in which a princely figure enounters a humble subject who dispenses useful philosophy. After outlining the figures and foreground elements, the artist painted the gold sky and the rocky landscape. Before painting over the lightly drawn facial details, the artist altered the position of the horse's back right foot. Such an image provides a rare glimpse of the sequence from ink to paint in Persian painting.” https://lnkd.in/dcx9hkQ6 FROM our groups, “Art Museums and Art Galleries: News, Reviews and Collections” ( https://lnkd.in/dweM6GQ ) and “Arts, Cultural Heritage and History of Ideas: Antiquity to the 18th Century” (https://lnkd.in/d66CSxM ).
