Mark Shevetone || “I paint landscapes; however I have been known to do a few paintings of our English Bulldog Belma.” Born in Beacon NY, Mark is an artist based in Las Vegas, who is known for his impressionist paintings that capture people, places and the events in his life. Artistic creation must be beautiful, must be true, and must conform to the nature and laws of objective things, so if If it is not true, it cannot be beautiful. However, beauty is not the same as truth. Only truth is not necessarily beautiful. The description of things The appearance, specific texture, etc. are very real, but they may not be beautiful if they do not express what is hidden deep inside. essence, [not the substance directly expressed in experience], but in its absolute reality In describing the true nature of things, we must put aside non-essential things and not pursue superficial similarities. I believe there’s a connection between the eyes and the painting. That connection stabilizes when you try to understand your feelings for her. Knowing whether or not if you feel what she’s trying to tell you. And for that, you need to know if you want to be there. Do you want to be there? Is it just beautiful? Or do you feel something else? The secret is in the details, colors, shapes, emotions. You need to identify with the painter’s poetry. And be part of his poetry. I start to realize that I want to be there, looking at those colors and looking at that landscape… It looks magical, peaceful, it’s a perfect place to escape… Why wouldn’t I want to be there? At a certain point, my mind leaves my body. And transport my consciousness into the painting. Now I’m part of the painting too. I can feel the cold water on my hands, the mountain breeze on my face, the grass touching my skin. I can feel all that beauty. So now I’m part of that beauty. There will be people who will say that paintings are like cages, because they’re static. But how can this beauty be a cage? My mind could never accept this idea, so I start to thinking - what if I followed the mountains? Or if I swim under the river, and who knows, become a mermaid? Never rely on the appearance, try to find your own story in the artist’s poetry. As soon as you feel it, a painting becomes a part of your story. Our story. The artist just gave us the beginning, a place to start, he shared his vision. Now it’s up to us to create or own path. That’s why I love paintings. And that’s why I love minds. So If it is like a cage, then why does it feel so free? And why are they always better escapes, than reality? #paintings #creative

ARTIST / PHOTOGRAPHER / EDITOR / CONTENT CREATOR / WRITER / GRAPHIC DESIGNER / DIRECTOR “I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way—things I had no words for.”
7 months of my work! There is so much out there to learn the skill of drawing and painting. An idea you can certainly use is to study a new master every week. You need to know how to look at the world. You can look to see how masters of old saw the world. Copying old masters and finding something unique to you will help you gain that creative spark. Take books out of the library. Use some of the time for practice and some of the time for study. Study is as important as practice. There are some good YouTube artist who record their project. If you want to become an artist, you have to put the time in. You need to know that the problem at hand it the blank canvas. If you fearful of the blank page, find a smaller sketchbook. I did this and learned to love the miniature art form. A smaller page can give you a simple goal of finishing an art piece. I am paraphrasing this anecdote. A woman saw Pablo Picasso sitting at a cafe, she asked for a sketch. He did it quickly and asked the woman for some unreal amountof money. Astonished the woman replied, “But, it only took you 30 seconds to sketch it.” He replied, “It took me 30 years to draw in 30 seconds.” #art #artist #drawing #paintings

Meet Douglas Porter, a visual artist and media composer known for acrylic paintings on canvas, video art, and visual collages called Emblems. Emblems are compact yet compelling combinations of texts and images that invite and require interpretation on the part of the viewer/reader. They were popular from 1550-1750 in continental Europe. Typically an emblem consists of a brief motto [called an inscriptio], an often puzzling or enigmatic image [called a pictura], and a subtext [called a subscriptio], that when read combination, reveal a philosophical, moral or spiritual insight. The emblem involves a process of reciprocal reading of texts and images, in which the back and forth between the words and the pictures creates meaning. The picture presents the reader with a recognizable scene or collage of symbolic elements, and the text then reorients the reader’s understanding of that scene to present a new and unexpected message. Emblems, usually one to a page, and were gathered into emblem books. There are some seven thousand documented titles and editions in the genre published from the sixteenth to the twenty-first century. Emblem books exercised an enormous influence on literature and the visual arts. We cannot wait to learn more about emblems and hear from this seasoned artist of faith. The most beautiful advice from Picasso...✨ Master the basics before breaking them! 🖌️🤞🏻 Here:- Basics → Pre-discipline Mastery → Post-discipline You shouldn't try canvas painting without having command over realistic portraits. 🎨 And what beautiful advice it is! If I'm a poet and can write only free verse, then I'm not a legit poet. I must learn basic rhyming schemes before trying other writing forms. ✍🏻 But is there anything beyond practice and discipline? Hell ya!!! After the discipline, you don’t need discipline. All you need is nothing. As it's something where art evolves, you’ll be able to feel the magic beyond logic.🪄 A quick recap: Stage 1: Discipline Stage 2: Magic Stage 3: <Ask Picasso> 👀 Some examples to justify this theory: - Unbelievable 45 degree tilt by Michael Jackson - Van Gogh’s self-portrait with a bandaged ear - Mahi Bhai’s magical stumping - Weird non-cricketing shots from Suryakumar Yadav - This LinkedIn post 😉 By the way, Have you ever seen Picasso’s paintings? 🖼️ Let me know... #PicassoAdvice #ArtAndDiscipline #MasterTheBasics #ArtEvolution #CreativeJourney #MagicInArt #BeyondDiscipline #ArtisticMastery #LearnAndEvolve #InspirationFromArtists #ArtisticWisdom #PracticeMakesPerfect #CreativeInsights #PicassoWisdom #ArtisticJourney #DisciplineToMagic
