🌐 IE University is harnessing the power of virtual reality to enhance global learning. Recently, IE Business School's EMBA and EXDTX programs conducted their Global Village experience in a fully immersive 3D VR environment in Arthur. As a part of this event, students and staff from diverse cultural backgrounds came together to showcase and discuss traditions and knowledge from their respective countries. 🔵 Participants connected and shared real-time interactions in a customized virtual environment where their nationalities were visibly represented and celebrated. 🔵 The event featured unique cultural showcases, from virtual cuisines to discussions on cultural heritage, such as a debate over whether the origins of Pisco were Peruvian or Chilean. 🔵 This innovative approach enabled a virtual journey spanning over 25,000 KM without any travel, demonstrating the future potential of global networking and learning. IE University’s use of VR technology and virtual campus spaces exemplifies the utility and customizability of VR-based initiatives, providing a forward-looking perspective on education - and learning, in general - where global connectivity and cultural exchange thrive in a virtual landscape. Virtual Reality (VR) is transforming learning experiences by making them immersive, interactive, and accessible in ways that traditional methods can't match. It is a matter of pride to see our platform enabling such innovative experiences across the globe. Recently, Talent Development and HR Master Students at IE University leveraged Arthur to have an engaging, interactive, and fun learning experience. One of the students, Luca Gerini, shared how the experience was so immersive it felt like being physically present in the classroom, highlighting VR's potential to make innovative learning experiences possible irrespective of the candidate's geographic location. Going one step further, VR's ability to simulate real-world scenarios, like job interviews, demonstrates the technology's potential to significantly enhance learning outcomes. Considering the possibilities once they enter the workforce, the students also saw that VR can be effective for upskilling and reskilling employees. Thanks to pioneers like Tania Romero Sommerz and IE University, we are already seeing examples of how VR is proving to be a boon for learning.
