The absurd political satire—featuring gigantic brains and zombies—was directed by Guy Maddin, Evan and Gale Johnson. Feature film “Kinds of Kindness” reunites director Yorgos Lanthimos (first image) with “The Favourite” and “Poor Things” cinematographer Robbie Ryan BSC, ISC who shot the artfully grotesque anthology on 35 mm with the ARRICAM ST 🎥 “Yorgos was very keen to try a different sort of language with 'Kinds of Kindness,' he wanted it to be wide-screen and anamorphic,” says DP Robbie Ryan, noting that director Lanthimos is a great cinematographer in his own right, which plays into his overall knowledge of structure, editing, and design. “I always find that his cinematography sensibilities are way better than most cinematographers, including myself.
