Taishin Financial Holdings launched the Power of Love Platform (PLP) to involve the general public in allocating funds for non-profit organizations. Tens of thousands of non-profit organizations are operating in Taiwan, but they vary significantly in received funds, which is not conducive to the normal development of this community. In response to this problem, Taishin Financial Holdings launched the Power of Love Platform (PLP). Through the event, it considers public opinion while distributing funds. #AIMRImpact #impactmanagement #SROI #socialvalue #SDGs https://lnkd.in/ejfkHCwj

Is generosity really decreasing? If so, why is it happening? In reality, aspects of generosity are decreasing, but they are also shifting. In this article, BWF's Joshua Birkholz explores current trends in donor behavior, what the research is actually saying, and how fundraisers can adapt to this shift. Every person deserves to experience the joy of giving. Nonprofits are essential in solving problems and advancing the human condition, and philanthropy fuels this significance. #philanthropy #giving #charitablegiving #donors #donorengagement #donormanagement #annualgiving #nonprofits #nonprofitfundraising

Data is critical for non-profits as they look to access grants and also reduce the admin/reporting for grants they've already received We work with non-profits to collect all the data associated with their volunteers, events, and donations in one place This also allows them to report to their communities on the important impact they have been able to achieve Reach out if you think it could help your organization https://lnkd.in/grBJXDvN

The states with the highest development indicators and highest per capita income receive the highest CSR funding. The states with the lowest development indicators and lowest per capita income also receive the lowest CSR funding. There is hardly any data on how much family foundations and individuals give to the most backward parts of the country, but it's safe to assume that it isn't very much. The situation is even more complex when it comes founders and groups, who want to start non-profits in underdeveloped regions of India. Language barriers, low connectivity and lack of opportunities mean that aspiring founders are always bereft of options and left struggling. The Azim Premji Foundation has brought out an amazing opportunity for non-profits registered on or after 1st March 2019 from Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Jharkhand, Odisha, Uttarakhand, and districts in northeast Karnataka (Bagalakote, Ballari, Bidar, Kalaburagi, Koppala, Raichur, Vijayapura, Vijayanagar and Yadgir). Grant applications are now open and you can check details here: https://lnkd.in/gnkHVfpe Kohmorehbee Consulting is open to supporting any organisation eligible for the above grant. Global Generosity (Major Gifts) | Leadership | Development | Philanthropy | Sustainability | Social Impact
I am delighted to read The Economist’s Jan 2024 Special Report on Philanthropy. Philanthropists can give money faster and with impact by not controlling every decision that recipients make and doing away with lengthy form-filling application processes. They appoint an independent firm that helps with strategy and conducts due diligence on the NGO before approving the grant. This “no-strings giving” happens when trust is already established, knowing that recipients are accountable and responsible on fund usage. I find the “Non-profit Starvation Cycle” particularly interesting. Mistrust of the charity sector had for generations put nonprofit organisations through writing lengthy grant applications. Funds become tightly restricted on specific projects. A lot of time and money were spent on monitoring, evaluating, assessing impact, and budgeting in accordance with the giver’s format. This “non-profit starvation cycle” has put NGOs under immense pressure to cut back on assets such as the right hire, IT, CRM and training, which are very crucial in running a successful organization. - “In part, no-strings approach is making fundraising less time-consuming and less painful for recipients.” - “Academic research has shown that groups that spend more on overheads often deliver better results.” - “Unrestricted grants allow non-profit organisations with experience on the ground to craft projects where they see need, rather than simply rolling out projects that donors dream up.” #nonprofit #NGO #charity #fundraising #duediligence #philanthropy #philanthropists #donors #wealth #grants #giving #donation https://lnkd.in/gCHvZZJu
